House of Dragon: Season 1 (Web Series – HBO Max)
If you are a fan of Game of Thrones (GoT), then you must bookmark this upcoming web series. This upcoming series is set two centuries before the actual GoT event unfolded. Keep in mind, the House of Dragon is a prequel of the Games of Thrones (GoT).
This web series will follow the saga of House Targaryen. The complete series is based on the book Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin. Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal created this House of Dragon series. Whereas, Clare Kilner and Geeta V. Patel directed this show.
The cast of House of the Dragon includes Paddy Considine as King Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, the younger brother of King Viserys Targaryen, and Emma D’Arcy in the role of Rhaenyra Targaryen, the King’s firstborn. Other Notable names in this series includes Jefferson Hall, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Rhys Ifans and Sonoya Mizuno.
The House of Dragon Season 1 will premiere on HBO Max. Although, HBO has not officially confirmed any premiere date yet. The OTT Player has piqued our interest, as it is one of the must-see shows of 2022.

Peaky Blinders: Season 6 (Web Series – Netflix)
Another interesting series that will be Peaky Blinders on Netflix. The OTT Platform will be bringing the sixth season of the show. After nearly a gap of two years from the season 5, the makers of the series have officially announced to bring the last instalment of the series in early 2022.
In an interview, Anothony Byrne, the director and maker of the series revealed that first episode of the new season will be titled as “Black Day”. Additionally, the makers have also dropped the teaser showing a glimpse of Thomas Shelby’s sister Ada. In this teaser, Ada is saying, “Take a good look, Tom, because one of us isn’t gonna be here for long.”
Although, there will be some major changes in the cast of the final season. Helen McCrory, who played the role of Thomas Shelby’s aunt Polly Gray, will not be the part of this season. To recall, McCrory passed away last year in April after battling with cancer. On the other hand, actress Charlie Murphy confirmed that she will not be playing the role of the real-life union leader and Communist activist Jessie Eden.
Makers will be bringing in some new faces including Amber Anderson, Stephen Graham and Rebecca Keatley. Although, their roles are not yet disclosed. The main characters of the series include Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy), Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson). Rest of the cast includes Ada Shelby (Sophie Rundle) and Michael Gray (Finn Cole). These characters will be seen in their earlier roles.

The Lord of the Rings: Season 1 (Web Series – Amazon Prime)
The Lord of The Rings is the set of novels from J.R.R. Tolkien. Director Peter Jackson infused life in the complete story and presented The Lord of The Rings Trilogy. The movie series bagged 15 Academy Awards. Now, the makers are back with another big announcement.
This time the makers planning to bring a multi-season TV series. The upcoming web series will be based on the novel. The multi-season TV series will be releasing on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022. The more exciting news is that the complete series will be filmed at the original New Zealand sets. This is exactly the same set where Jackson shot the complete movie series.
In the official press release, Amazon Studio adds that “the epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness”
The cast of The Lords of The Rings includes Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo. The other new faces include Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Ian Blackburn, Nazanin Boniadi, Beau Cassidy and Kip Chapman.

Ozark: Season 4 (Web Series – Netflix)
Ozark will continue with its upcoming fourth season of the web series on Netflix. As per the story, Ozark follows a financial adviser who drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks. There he must launder USD 500 million in five years to appease a drug boss.
The Netflix web series has already won three Emmy Awards. Out of these awards, Jason Bateman won the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series. The second and third awards are won by Julia Garner for her Outstanding Support Actress for both 2019 and 2020.
At the end of season 3, viewers were left with multiple questions over Ben’s death and Darlene’s intentions. Probably these questions will be answer in the final season. According to official reports, the final season of upcoming web series Ozark will be premiering on January 21.
These reports further add that in this season we will also see some new additions in the upcoming web series. The new addition includes Alfonso Herrera as Javi Elizonndro and Adam Rothenberg as former cop Mel Sattem. With four seasons to its credit, reviewers and audiences alike have praised the show. Now, the makers are also all-gearing up to release the upcoming fifth season of the web series.
According to reports, the upcoming fifth season of the web series will be covering the events from the 1990s. These events will also include the speculation around the Princess Diana’s death in 1997, the general elections of 1997. The season 5 of The Crown is likely to be one of the most anticipated seasons on Netflix.

Earlier in January 2021, Netflix announced that the second season of the highly popular show Bridgerton. In November 2021, Shonda Rhimes, the Creative Leads of the show told that “There are eight Bridgerton siblings, and as far as I’m concerned, there are eight Bridgerton seasons.”
Furthermore, In the upcoming season of the web series, the story will revolve around Lord Anthony Bridgerton portrayed by Jonathan Bailey. To recall, Anthony Bridgerton is the eldest of the eight Bridgerton children. According to reports, the new season will be based on the second book of The Viscount Who loved Me by Julia Quinn.
In this season we will see how Anthony is searching for his love as he refuses to marry for duty. Furthermore, Simone Ashley will play Kate Sharma, Anthony’s love interest, adding to the diverse high society of the Regency era featured in the series.

The Boys: Season 3 (Series – Amazon Prime)
The Boys is also making a return to the Amazon Prime Video after a successful second season. Earlier in February, Eric Kripke, the series creator shared a couple of photos. In these photos he made announcement about the filming of the third season. Later in September, a video of the cast saying that the production was wrapped up was also shared on the social media platform Twitter.
In a report about the upcoming season of the web series, the series creator, Eric Kripke said, “I don’t want to say too much because there’s a certain mystery in season 3 about exactly why Victoria is doing what she’s doing. But, yeah, I think the overall theme of the show is you need to have a healthy suspicion of your authority figures, and that goes for all of them”.
