According to reports, the instant messaging app is reportedly planning to launch a new feature, which will allow users to transfer their chats between Android and iOS device and vice-versa with much ease. This all new feature will be an extension of the multi-device support. To recall, this multi-device support feature is also in the pipeline and is expected to launch soon. Now, a new leak has appeared which gives more details about this upcoming Chat history migration feature on WhatsApp.

The leaks about this WhatsApp chat history migration feature has been reveal by WABetaInfo. According to WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app with new beta version 220.127.116.11 gives us an idea about how this feature will work. The report from the leaks suggest that apart from easy chat transfer between two devices, the WhatsApp will also sync these chats. This means that the same chat on two devices with same WhatsApp account will be kept in sync for further ease of usage.
The sync chat will also include all the pinned and starred messages. However, if the chat is delete on one of the device. Then, it will not reflect on the other device. To reflect changes on both devices, the deletion needs to happen for everyone including the sender and the recipients. But, it will still remain unknown as how the upcoming chat migration feature will work on WhatsApp. To recall, some previous leaks does suggest that WhatsApp will take use of Google Drive for the same.
WhatsApp multi-device support feature in pipeline:
Alongside, new chat migration feature, WhatsApp is planning to add the multi device support feature also. This feature will allow users to use the app on multiple devices simultaneously. Keep in mind, a single account can be access on up to four device at a single time. Additionally, this feature can even work without the need of internet. Also, users could get the ability to log out of the linked devices to link the new device. The users may also get the ability to delink the existing linked device. According to reports, this feature will be available for WhatsApp’s Android, iOS and Web versions.
