WhatsApp has been working on many new features. A recent feature will allow users to transfer their chat history to a new smartphone. This can be access using a different smartphone. This all new feature will be work as an extension to the already available feature called WhatsApp Chat History Migration Tool. Chat History Migration Tool in WhatsApp:
According to reports from WABetaInfo, Currently, WhatsApp is an updated version of Chat History Migration Tool. It will allow its users to transfer their personal chat history to a new device on different platform. Additionally, it will also transfer to a new device with a different phone number. This means that it will also allow users to change their phone numbers along side switching from Android to iOS or vice versa. Also, Users can transfer their chat history by switching between platform and even by changing their phone numbers.
In addition to WhatsApp chat transfer, this new tool could also be use to transfer media files from older device to new ones. The media files may include any audio, video file, and even some kind of pre-recorded audio. The report from WABetaInfo also includes a screenshot. This screenshot shows a link that will provide users with a way to transfer their WhatsApp chat history. This can be done while switching their device and phone number. The report also states that this migration option will only be provide to users while signing in to the new device for the first time only. According to reports, the latest feature is currently under development. It is not available in any current WhatsApp Beta version for Android and iPhone.
Transfer WhatsApp to new device with new phone number:
WhatsApp currently allows users to change their phone number without loosing any chat. This can be done via in-app settings. It will allow users to transfer their chat history to a new device with new phone number. But, currently, this feature only works on same platform. This means that if the new device is based on the same platform as the older one. If the user wants to switch from an Android device to a new Android device or old iPhone to a new iPhone device.
