Xiaomi detail roll out plan for third batch of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition

In the third batch, more than 25 devices including the Redmi 9, Redmi 10X 4G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi K30 Ultra, Redmi 10X 5G, Redmi 10X Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 5G, Xiaomi Pad 5, and many more will receive the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition.

Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is the latest version of Xiaomi’s own mobile operating system. This Xiaomi MIUI Skin is based on the Android 11 OS for mobile phones. To recall, the latest MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition was announced alongside the MIUI for Pad and the Xiaomi Pad 5 Series.

The announcement for the latest MIUI Skin took place at the launch event in the month of August. Now, the company has been rolling out this latest software to all the eligible devices. Recently, Xiaomi has updated list of mobile phones about the roll out plan for the new MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. The smartphone manufacturers have updated the third batch of devices that will be receiving the third batch of fresh MIUI version.



MIUI 12.5 Enhanced: Third Batch of Xiaomi Mobile Phones

According to reports from GizmoChina, all the eligible smartphones in the third batch will finish receiving the update by next month, December 2021. The list in the third batch includes more than 25 eligible smartphones that will be receiving the fresh MIUI version.

In this list, Xiaomi brings the detail and names about the different mobile phones from various sub-brands including Xiaomi, Redmi and many others. In the official release, the Xiaomi executive has officially revealed the following models.

Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 9, Redmi 10X 4G, Redmi 10X 5G, Redmi 10X Pro 5G, Redmi Note 11 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K30, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Ultra, Redmi K30i 5G, Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.

As per Xiaomi’s executive, the update process for the above listed Xiaomi mobile phones will finish by next month. Keep in mind, this timeline is meant for Chinese variants only. This suggests that it may take more time for international markets. To recall, Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition will bring several performance improvements.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition: What’s New?

To recall, during the launch event, Xiaomi claims that with this update the system performance will improve. The system performance will drop by less than 5 percent even after 36 months. Additionally, this Xiaomi MIUI update will also bring Atomic or Atomized Memory Feature on eligible mobile phones. This feature will allow users to keep more apps running in the background. As per Xiaomi’s claims, the new Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition will fix over 160 system issues and over 220 system app issues in eligible mobile phones. The update will also being all-round optimization for the bottom framework to the top-most application layer. Here, Xiaomi has divided the optimization into four aspects. These includes Liquid Storage, Atomic Memory, Focus Calculation, and Intelligent Balance.



MIUI 13 – Coming Soon

Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s founder Lei Jun has also confirmed that the next major version of MIUI will be the MIUI 13. According to reports, the MIUI 13 will be arriving before the end of this year. Moreover, the new MIUI 13 will deliver performance and battery optimization along with the revamped UI design. These details are confirmed by a report from GSMArena.

Lei Jun also shares that the MIUI 13 will also bring lots of other changes. These changes will be delivered great improvement in user experience. Hence, Xiaomi will start seeding out the next iteration of MIUI as soon as it completes delivering the current version on eligible mobile phones.
