Xiaomi Mi 10‘s current lineup reportedly comprises eight smartphones – Mi 10 5G, Mi 10 Pro 5G, Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 10T 5G, Mi 10T Pro 5G, Mi 10 Lite 5G etc. Out of which, five smartphones in the series comes with Snapdragon 865 SoC. Now, rumors suggests that the Chinese phone maker is working on a new Xiaomi Mi 10 variant with the freshly announced Snapdragon 870 at the helm.
Xiaomi Mi 10: Leaks
Famous tipster Digital Chat Station posted some details on Weibo, confirming a new edition of the Mi 10, expected to be launched soon in China. However, No launch date has been specified for this one yet, and the tipster does not even have a render or complete specification sheet to share. He does confirms the existence of the Snapdragon 870 chipset that powered the new model. The Snapdragon 870 is a chip for new class of “flagship-killer” phones. The Snapdragon 870 SoC is likely a Snapdragon 865++ processor. It shares much of the specifications with the 865+ but comes with the prime core clocked at 3.2GHz. Xiaomi is still yet to officially reveal anything on this front, and this leak is the only lead to the Mi 10 refresh that we’ve seen so far.
In terms of features, we can expect new Mi 10 on similar path of Xiaomi Mi 10T , came in 2020. In order to keep prices down, Xiaomi could reuse the old design from existing versions of handsets. This won’t be surprise if Mi 10 comes with 120Hz LCD display, a 5.020mAh battery, a 64-MP quad rear camera. It can also packs in three more “filler cameras” and a 33W fast wired charging system.
