The listing suggests that the Galaxy S25 FE will be powered by the same chipset as its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. Furthermore, it will also retain similar design elements. A listing for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE on Tesco’s website was spotted by WinFuture, before it was taken down by the UK retailer. The listing revealed the design and key technical specifications of the phone. The leaked images suggests that the device will feature narrow bezels around the screen, and a metal frame. Let’s check out the expected specifications for this upcoming premium Galaxy smartphone.
Design
October 2024 saw the emergence of the first Galaxy S25 FE rumors, which suggested a slimmer design. The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are all thinner than their predecessors. Henceforth, we can expect the FE getting the same treatment. In terms of design, Samsung seems to be sticking to its Fan Edition formula with a glossy glass finish. However, this time there will be big change is in the dimensions.
The Galaxy S25 FE 5G could be just 7.4mm thick and weigh around 190 grams. For comparison, last year’s Galaxy S24 FE measured 8mm and weighed 213 grams. This will be a noticeable improvement in portability. It will also come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. There will an upgraded triple camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE.
Display
We expect the Galaxy S25 FE’s display specs to be similar to the Galaxy S24 FE. However, Samsung may upgrade the display panel to offer improvements in max brightness. On the display front, the Galaxy S25 FE’s display is expected to be a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. This time Fan Edition smartphone will borrow this display from the Galaxy S25 Series. It may offer 1-120Hz refresh rate along with FHD+ resolution. The display is also likely to feature Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
Performance
Instead of a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is likely to use the Exynos 2400e chip or its MediaTek equivalent, the Dimensity 9400. The Exynos 2400e is a slightly lower clocked version of the Exynos 2400. To recall, this Exynos 2400 already powers the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in all markets other than the US, Canada, and China.
The Exynos 2400e is an octa-core processor, delivering up to 2.8GHz of peak clock speed. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE could feature 8GB of RAM. In terms of internal storage, the premium smartphone gets up to 256GB of onboard storage. There is said to be another variant of the rumoured Galaxy S-series handset with 128GB internal storage. Camera
The upcoming Galaxy S25 FE smartphone will reportedly feature a triple rear camera setup. This camera unit will be comprising a 50 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an 8 MP telephoto lens. The telephoto lens will offer 3x optical zoom capabilities. This setup is quite similar to the Galaxy S24 FE, although Samsung might use upgraded sensors this time.
An upgrade that is likely to be a thing is an improved selfie camera. Samsung has reportedly planning to equip the S25 FE with a 12 MP front camera. However, it remains unclear if this is the same 12 MP sensor that is present on the non-FE Galaxy S23, S24, and S25 models. The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is likely to receive a minor upgrade in battery capacity. As per the report, the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to be backed by a 4900mAh battery. This capacity is up from the Galaxy S24 FE’s 4700mAh battery. Furthermore, the charging speed may also get a boost with 45W fast charging. Regarding the wireless charging, there is no leaks or rumors yet.
Software
Samsung has already started firmware development for the S25 FE smartphone in April. Like the Galaxy S21 FE, the Galaxy S25 FE will have the advantage of running a newer version of Android and One UI out of the box. It could run on One UI based on Android 16. According to reports, the S25 FE will be eligible for seven major OS upgrades. That means it will end its support lifecycle on Android 23 and One UI 15.
We expect the Galaxy S25 FE to sport all of the Galaxy AI features available on the other Galaxy S25 models. According to reports, the price of the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE will start at EUR 679 (roughly Rs 69,129). The S25 FE is likely to launch in September, completing Samsung’s S25 family. The current lineup for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series includes the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and the recently launched S25 Edge.
Whether Samsung chooses to unveil it during its IFA 2025 conference on September 4 or closer to the iPhone launch window remains to be seen. As for now, there is no official Galaxy S25 FE price or availability information is available. In the USA, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE starts at $649. We could see a similar price tag for the S25 FE in the USA market.
