Samsung One UI 8 Release Date

Samsung has aligned its major One UI releases with the annual Android update cycle. The new update typically lands in the fourth quarter, around October or November, following Google’s stable Android release. Couple of years back, One UI 6 debuted on October 30, 2023. While, the Samsung One UI 7 launch was delayed significantly, launched on April 7, 2025.

Samsung officially launched the OneUI 8 beta program on May 28, 2025, starting with the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in Germany, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The Beta program has now expanded to India and Poland. Later this year, the One UI 8 was officially released on July 9, 2025, at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung One UI 8 Beta Live

Samsung unveiled the One UI 8 for the Samsung devices on July 9, 2025, at Galaxy Unpacked. The South Korean tech giant is also running the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series, which started on May 28, 2025. Now, the company has expanded this Beta program to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series, Z Fold6, and Z Flip6 smartphones. The Beta program is currently available in Korea, the US, UK, and India.

Samsung has confirmed that more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Galaxy A-series models (A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54) will join the beta program in September 2025. The company officials has also confirmed that the stable One UI 8 update will begin rolling out in September 2025, starting with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. They confirms that the rollout is on track with no delays.

That said, beta versions can have bugs, performance issues, or compatibility problems. Users who depend on their devices for daily reliability may want to wait for the stable release. Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the complete One UI 8 device list. The company now offers up to seven years of OS upgrades for select flagship devices (starting with the Galaxy S24 series).     • Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Flip7 FE (Launched with One UI 8), Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold4, Z Flip4.
  • Galaxy Tab Series:
    • Galaxy Tab S10+, Tab S10 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra.
  • Galaxy A Series:

How to Access the One UI 8 Beta Program?

Meanwhile, Galaxy S23 series users might be able to experience the beta update and experiment with all of the new features in September. According to the leaker, the Beta update will also be rolled out for the Galaxy S23 series beginning September 8. Once available, users can sign up for the beta programme via the Samsung Members app, which is available in a total of 36 countries. However, do note that the availability of features will vary depending on the country the user resides in. This means that not all regions will receive the same features.
