The Lava Play Ultra 5G display sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel. This display panel offers 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. During the launch event, Lava claims that this display can offer 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. This means that the screen covers the DCI-P3 colour gamut completely.
While reviewing the smartphone, the display quality is impressive. The colour reproduction on screen was close to accurate which is a good thing. It had adequate brightness to keep things visible in that dim environment. At the same time, it handled blacks well, with colour reproduction in dark or near-black scenes performing better than expected.

While there are good sides to the display, there are also a few downside. The fingerprint sensor is slightly slow and unrecognizable few times. While gaming, this smartphone offers a decent level of output. There weren’t many lags or issues while playing graphics intensive games. Although, the 5G phone was starting to heat up after playing for 30-40 minutes. The heating issue is not as excessive as other smartphones in sub-Rs. 15000 segment.
During the Lava Play Ultra 5G BGMI PUBG gameplay, multitasking may cause a slight delay of a second or two when opening other apps. Lava International claims that this it can fully charge the handset in 83 minutes. Furthermore, the battery is also said to deliver up to 45 hours of talk time and up to 510 hours of standby time on a single charge.
During the proper gaming sessions for hours, the Lava Play Ultra 5G smartphone lasted for around six to seven hours. For normal usage like calling, scrolling social media, hearing songs, occasional message, and more, the smartphone lasted for about a day. For charging, it would take you around one and a half hour to fully charge it from zero per cent.
