Oppo Find-series Product Manager Zhou Yibao is hinting towards a major upgrade for the upcoming smartphone’s battery life. In a recent Weibo post ( Chinese social media platform), Yibao highlighted a survey conducted by the company. This survey shows that battery life was one of the biggest problems for Find X8 series users. The post also said that the battery life of the Oppo Find X9 and Find X9 Pro has “improved a lot.” Let’s take a look at what’s coming to the table.

Xpertpick, along with tipster Yogesh Brar, shared the details and features of the new Oppo Find X9. According to the article, the phone would have a 1.5K resolution 6.59-inch flat LTPO OLED display. This panel further gets 120Hz refresh rate. As per this reports, it has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor built into the display for authentication. However, the rumours surrounding the standard variant are slim.
Hardware
The OPPO Find X9 is likely to come with he latest ColorOS 16 on top of Android 16. It will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, also likely to be found in the OPPO Find X9 Pro. As of writing this article, there is no information about the storage options for the upcoming Find Series. According to the report, the Oppo Find X9 will have a Hasselblad-branded rear camera unit. It will work with the Oppo’s Lumo Imaging technology. The camera setup on vanilla variant could include a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera with OIS support. The secondary camera is a 50 MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide sensor. The other lens is a 50 MP Samsung JN9 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS.
The Oppo Find X9 is said to boast a 50 MP Samsung JN1 front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. According to popular Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, a flagship smartphone from Oppo will feature a dual-cell 7,000mAh battery that comprises two 3,425mAh cells. The purported device referred to in the Weibo post is likely to be the upcoming Find X9 Ultra. In global market, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will succeed the Find X8 Ultra, which came with a 6,100 mAh battery.
As per the leaks, the company will pack these dual cells to maintain the phone’s thin form factor. While the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra might feature a higher-capacity battery, it is tipped to support the same charging speeds as the Find X8 Ultra. To recall, the OPPO X9 Ultra comes with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Under the hood, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, as per previous leaks.
