The Honor series has become famous for its flagship performance at less price. As an independent brand, Honor launched his first smartphone. The new device, Honor V40 5G, features a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, a triple camera on the rear, and a 6.72-inch curved OLED Full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution. Selfie camera sets in a pill-shape cutout in front of display. Additionally, The display gets a pixel density of 401 PPI.
Honor V40 5G with MediaTek Processor:
The all-new Honor V40 5G features a whopping 6.72-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with a 120Hz peak refresh rate and HDR10 support. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC which is supported by Mali G77 MC9 GPU. The device comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB UFS 2.1 storage. No support for SD card. Hence, we cannot expand the storage further.
Honor V40 5G: Camera
The Honor V40 5G comes with a triple-rear camera setup, enclosed in a massive rectangular camera module. These triple cameras compromises of a 50 MP f/1.9 main camera, an 8MP f/2.4 secondary wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Also, The device gets a unique pill-shaped punch hole cutout in top-left corner of the display, that houses a 16 MP selfie camera and a color temperature sensor.
Honor V40 5G: Battery
An in-display optical fingerprint reader is available in Honor V40 5G. The device comes with a 4,000mAh battery which get its power from 66W fast wired charging. Also, It also supports a 50W fast wireless charging. It comes with a unique glass sandwich design.
Honor V40 5G: UI
On the software front, Honor V40 5G runs Android 10 with custom skin of Magic UI 4.0. Magic UI is based on Huawei’s EMUI Android skin. Additionally, Honor V40 will supports GPU Turbo X. Also, The device gets a unique feature of Hunter Boost optimization to deliver improved gaming performance.
Honor V40 5G: Pricing & Availability
The pricing for Honor V40 5G starts at RMB 3,599 (approximately Rs 40,600) for the base 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage. The 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage variant sells at RMB 3,999 (approximately Rs 45,100) and it is already on sale in China. The device comes in Magic Night Black, Rose Gold and Titanium Silver color options. There is no information in regards to its official launch in International market. Also, we don’t have any specific details about India’s launch.
