Apple has officially launched the new iPhone 13 Mini as the smallest variant under the all-new iPhone 13 series. The Apple iPhone 13 Mini comes in funky colour options. These includes pink, midnight, starlight and (Product) Red colours. The latest Mini variant comes with a new entry-level storage option of 128GB. To recall, this Apple mobile phone is the cheapest variant among the four variants launched by Apple. The all-new Mini version comes with a 5.40-inch Retina display. It also runs on the latest iOS 15.
To recall, the Apple iOS 15 is the latest version of Apple operating system. It was launched at the WWDC 2021 in the month of June. The key highlight of the new Apple flagship phone is the inclusion of the satellite communication compatibility. This is possible courtesy of the customised Qualcomm X60 based modem chip. Additionally, some other highlighting feature includes the improved dual camera and new colour options.
Apple iPhone 13 Mini: Price and Availability
The cheapest variant of iPhone 13 series officially launches in the US market. Moreover, the Apple iPhone 13 Mini comes with a starting price of USD 699 for the base variant. This is USD 100 cheaper than the standard iPhone 13 model. In India, the iPhone 13 Mini price will start at Rs 69900 for the base model. Currently, the iPhone 13 Mini is available for pre-orders. The Global pre-orders for different countries including India has already begun on September 17. The official shipping of this iPhone 13 Mini and the other iPhone 13 Series mobiles will begin from September 24. Interested customers can purchase these iPhone 13 series mobile phones through the Authorized Apple Seller and the select carriers. Apple iPhone 13 Mini: Features and Specs
The all-new iPhone 13 Mini comes with 5.4-inch Retina display. This display comes with a screen resolution of 1080*2340 pixels. As mentioned above, the iPhone 13 series comes with satellite communication capabilities. However, this feature is restricted to the select markets including the US market. This feature will basically allow to transmit short emergency text and SoS distress signals from one location to another.
The all-new Mini version of iPhone is powered by the Apple’s custom chip. This chip comes with the name of A15 Bionic chip. This chip will also boost the performance, and brings improvement battery life. Regarding the optics, the Apple iPhone 13 Mini comes with dual rear camera setup along with larger apertures. Additionally, the smartphone carries a 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture.
The 12-megapixel secondary camera is an ultra-wide sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. Additionally, this ultra-wide lens gets autofocus which is debuting with the iPhone 13 lineup. For selfies, the Mini variant comes with a smaller notch to house the front camera. Moreover, the front camera is a 12-megapixel shooter with an f/2.2 aperture.
Just like other iPhone 13 series models, the Apple iPhone 13 Mini also runs on the iOS 15. The device packs in a better battery which will offer battery backup courtesy the new chipset.
