Apple TV app now available on Android TV platform

Apple has finally launched the highly popular Apple TV app on Android TV platform. This means that the Apple TV exclusive content is now easily accessible on more TV sets. The Dolby-Vision supported TV users will get the treat in form of Apple TV+. It has a sizeable collection of exclusive content.

Keep in mind, there is a minimum system requirement for the app to work on your TV sets. The TV must be smart TV running on at least Android TV 8 Oreo or higher. Therefore, it is suggested to check the TV settings before accessing the application.

This official app is available on an Apple TV streaming box, iPhones and iPads since the beginning. Previously, the company was working on finding ways to bring the app to regular Android TVs via PCs. But this required a lot of setups. How to Setup on your Smart TV?

To install and setup the latest TV app on an Android Smart TV, Follow the steps:

  • Open Google Play Store and search for “Apple TV”
  • Install “Apple TV” app and wait for the installation process to complete
  • By default, the app will open without any registration or login process.
  • Slide over to Settings page and click on Account.
  • Login via usual process of via password. Additionally, iPhone or iPad users can opt for QR Code scan method.
  • After login, the Apple TV App will offer multiple options to limit streaming to SD instead of 4K quality.

How to Access QR Code Scan Method?

Keep in mind, The QR Code scan method can be access by simply scanning the QR Code via a QR Code Reader app and then authenticating the login via TouchID or FaceID. Additionally, subscriber can watch the content only after subscribing to Apple TV+. Currently, most users can enjoy the Apple TV service via free annual subscription until July 3.

Apple TV+ users can access may originals, like The Morning Show, Greyhound, The Cherry etc.. Keep in mind, these movies are available as rentals from LionsGate Play, ErosNow and TasteMade.
