iQOO 8 soon likely to hit Indian markets, spotted on BIS listings

iQOO 8 Series was launched in China earlier this year in the month of August. iQOO 8 Series has been spotted on BIS listing suggesting for its imminent launch in India.

iQOO 8 Series featuring the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Legend smartphones is soon likely to launch in India. Earlier, it was reported that the iQOO 8 Pro is likely to launch as the iQOO 8 Legend in the Indian markets. To recall, both the smartphones are already available in Chinese markets. The iQOO 8 Series was launched earlier this year in China in the month of August. Both iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro aka iQOO 8 Legend comes with triple rear camera setup.




Additionally, the company has also unveiled the BMW M Motorsport colorways edition. Each phone comes with high refresh rate displays along with 10-bit colour panel. According to reports from the 91Mobiles, the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro aka iQOO 8 Legend could launch in India later this month. Although, the report did not share the exact launch date. However, the report does claims that the Chinese smartphone makers will soon likely to start teasing for both the smartphones. The company will be soon revealing the exact launch date in next few days.

iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Legend Price in India:

As far as Indian pricing is concerned, the iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Legend price in India is not known. However, the smartphones are likely to priced similar to the Chinese price of their counterpart. To recall, in China, the iQOO 8 price starts at CNY 3799 which is approximately Rs 43600. Whereas, the iQOO 8 Pro price in China starts at CNY 4999 which is approximately Rs 57300.

As far as specifications are concerned, both the smartphones are likely to pack in same hardware as the Chinese variants. In China, the all-new iQOO 8 runs on Android 11 OS which comes with Origin OS 1.1 on top. The device supports a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. The display comes with a higher 120Hz screen refresh rate. Additionally, this display gets a screen resolution of 1080×2376 pixels along with 10-bit colour panel.

As for the hardware, the iQOO phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. This chipset comes in pair with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone comes with Dual-Nano SIM support.



  • Camera:

For the photos and videos, the latest iQOO 8 packs in a triple rear camera setup just like its elder sibling iQOO 8 Legend. The 48-megapixel IMX598 primary sensor is accompanied by a 13-megapixel sensor which is an ultra-wide-angle lens. The third lens is a 13-megapixel portrait camera. For selfies and video chats, the device also packs in a 16-megapixel front camera.

The complete hardware is backed by a 4350mAh battery along with 120W fast charging. Regarding the connectivity options, the iQOO 8 includes 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. For device security, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner as well as facial recognition.

The all-new iQOO 8 Pro aka iQOO 8 Legend will feature a larger 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED display. This display gets a screen resolution of 1440×3200 pixels. Additionally, the display also gets a higher refresh rate of 120Hz. The Pro variant also gets a 10-bit colour panel. Just like its sibling iQOO 8, the iQOO 8 Pro also runs on Android 11 OS along with Origin OS 1.0 on top.



  • Hardware:

Regarding hardware, the iQOO 8 Legend is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. This chipset comes in pair with Adreno 660 GPU. The device also packs in up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both the variants under the iQOO 8 Series will also support the dynamic RAM or Virtual RAM feature.

  • Camera:

As for the optics, the Pro model also comes with triple rear camera setup. The 50-megapixel IMX766V primary sensor comes with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.   • Other Specs:

The complete hardware gets its backup from a larger 4500mAh battery along with 120W fast charging support. Additionally, the iQOO 8 Pro also comes with 50W fast wireless charging support. The Pro model features an ultrasonic 3D wide area in-display fingerprint scanner. The device also comes with HDR10+ compatibility.
