This is another name given to the Extended RAM feature by the South Korean tech company. With the extended RAM feature, the Galaxy M13 4G and Galaxy M13 5G phone borrows some storage and use this memory for better smartphone performance.

The 4G variant of the Samsung Galaxy M13 packs a massive 6000mAh battery. At the same time, the 5G model of Galaxy M13 comes with a 5000mAh battery backup. Both handsets get Auto Data Switching Technology. This technology allows users to make and receive calls using the data of the secondary SIM when the primary SIM has no network. These Galaxy M series smartphones focus on long battery life and better performance. As for the competition, these entry-level Galaxy M13 mobile phones will compete against the likes of Redmi 10, Realme Narzo 50A Prime, and Poco M4.

According to the Counterpoint Research report, the entry-level Samsung Galaxy M series is top-rated in the Indian smartphone market. The report suggests that the company has sold over 42 million smartphone units nationwide. With the launch of the Galaxy M13 5G, the company will offer the best affordable 5G Android phones in the budget segment. The company took a bold step by launching the latest Galaxy M13 5G phone ahead of India’s 5G spectrum auction. Remember, the latest Samsung Galaxy M13 mobile phone will succeed the highly popular Samsung Galaxy M12.

The entry-level Samsung Galaxy M13 5G starts at Rs 13999 in India for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is available for Rs 15999. As for its availability, the 5G variant of the Galaxy M13 is available for purchase on Samsung.com, Amazon India, and other online and offline retail stores. The 5G phone comes in three distinct color options – Aqua Green, Midnight Blue, and Standard Brown.

As for its availability, the 4G variant of the Galaxy M13 is also available for purchase on Samsung.com, Amazon India, and other online and offline retail stores. The 4G phone has three distinct color options – Aqua Green, Midnight Blue, and Standard Brown. Under the hood, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC powers the 5G phone. This chipset pairs with up to 6GB RAM and carries up to 128GB of storage. Up to 12GB of memory can be used for the Samsung RAM Plus feature with this storage, boosting RAM by up to 12GB. Furthermore, the internal storage supports storage expansion of up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy M13 5G phone has a dual rear camera setup for photos and videos. The 50MP primary camera sensor comes in pair with a 2MP secondary sensor. Additionally, the latest Galaxy phone comes with a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. Under the hood, an octa-core Samsung’s Exynos 850 SoC powers the Galaxy M series 4G phone. The Samsung Galaxy Exynos chipset pairs with up to 6GB of RAM. This Galaxy phone also sports a Samsung RAM Plus feature. This feature can extend the RAM by up to 12GB using internal storage. Samsung Galaxy M13: First Impressions

The recently launched Samsung Galaxy M13 is India’s most affordable 5G smartphone. In the previous versions, Samsung customers always complained about low RAM and low battery issues, and the South Korean tech giant has always listened to its users. The Galaxy M13 launched with bigger batteries and the incredible Samsung RAM Plus feature to resolve these issues. The company also offers the Auto Data Switching feature on the Galaxy M13 smartphones. Before getting into details, let’s first unbox the smartphone.

The all-new Galaxy M13 5G comes inside a regular white retail box packaging. The top of the retail box clearly shows the smartphone’s image along with the handset’s name with Samsung branding at the bottom. The back side of the box mentions the standard USPs of the Galaxy M13 5G along with other manufacturing details. The latest Samsung Galaxy M13 5G comes with the “Make for India” initiative.

Once we open the box package, we get a section with a SIM Tray ejector pin, some documentation, and other paperwork. Below this, we get the Galaxy M13 5G mobile unit. In the bottom section, we get a good quality USB Type-A to Type-C cable for charging and data transfer. Finally, we get a 15W Fast adapter Samsung original charger for charging the smartphone.

The affordable 5G Samsung smartphone comes with a polycarbonate back panel, and this back panel gets a smooth matte finish. Talking about the physical design, the rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy M13 gets a dual rear camera module which is placed in the top left corner. The camera lenses come with individual cameras without the camera bump. The Galaxy M series 5G phone has a well-rounded frame, and the plastic frame accommodates the physical buttons and other ports. Despite massive batteries, the smartphone is lightweight.


  • Physical Design

The left edge gets the volume rockers and the power button. This power button doubles as the fingerprint sensor, meaning the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Additionally, both the volume rockers and power buttons offer decent haptic feedback. The bottom edge gets a 3.5mm headphone jack, a primary microphone, a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, and a single speaker grille. The top edge of the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G gets a secondary noise cancellation phone. Finally, the right edge gets a dual SIM Tray Slot with a dedicated microSD card slot.

The affordable 5G-enabled Samsung smartphone sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display. This display gets a screen resolution of 720*1600 pixels. Furthermore, the display also offers a 90Hz refresh rate. In our experience, the Samsung Galaxy M13 display offers natural colors. However, these colors are on the warmer side. The latest Galaxy M13 smartphone comes with an eye comfort mode. Being an affordable smartphone, it gets a fixed refresh rate of 90Hz. The display also offers wide viewing angles. In direct sunlight, the display is bright enough for good visibility.

  • Smooth Performance with Dimensity 700

Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. During our initial testing, the Galaxy M13 5G worked fine, and we did not notice any significant issues, no frame drops, or lagging issues. In terms of gaming experience, the smartphone also delivered a moderate gaming experience. We can play graphic intensive games, but not for long. In short, with this Samsung Galaxy M series phone, we can expect a stable performance and incredible consistency.   • Galaxy M13 with One UI 4

The all-new Samsung Galaxy M13 runs on Google Android 12 on top of the company’s own One UI 4 skin. The Galaxy M series 5G phone is quite similar to the interface of any other Samsung phone. Overall, the user interface is clean, although we noticed some bloatware on the smartphone.




Luckily, we can uninstall these spammy apps. With One UI, users can customize the looks of the UI as per their liking. The software is the same as other Samsung Galaxy smartphones mentioned above.

  • 50MP triple rear cameras on Galaxy M13 5G

Samsung Galaxy M13 is one of the fewest budget smartphones to launch with a 50MP triple rear camera setup. Under this price segment, it is the latest smartphone to launch with a 50MP primary camera. Additionally, the Galaxy phone also sports a 2MP secondary camera. In our testing, the images captured turned out to be bright enough, and the clarity, contrast, and sharpness were accurate. The Dynamic Range is also decent in daylight conditions.




During the nighttime also, the smartphone can deliver some perfect photos. There is a 5MP front shooter for selfies, and this selfie camera provides satisfactory results. In some selfies, we can get excellent images with many details, such as social media-ready photos that can be directly shared.   • Big battery on Samsung Galaxy M series phone

The Samsung Galaxy M13 5G affordable phones also accommodates a 5000mAh battery with a 15W fast charging solution. Meanwhile, the battery backup is decent. With a 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy M series smartphone can easily run for one whole day with normal usage. With heavy use, the smartphone can efficiently run for around 3/4th of a day. This means that we need to plug in the charger at bedtime.

  • Auto Data Switching feature

Both the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G and 4G get a new feature, Auto Data Switching. With these Galaxy M series smartphones, wherever we go, we can stay connected, even if the SIM 1 is out of network. Meanwhile, the Auto Data Switching feature allows seamless connectivity. This feature will help users to stay connected through the secondary SIM for calls or data streaming when the primary SIM is out of network.
