Vivo iQOO recently launched the iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend in India. Now, the Chinese smartphone makers are planning to launch the next version in the series. According to reports, iQOO is planning to host a launch event on August 4. The company is likely to launch the all-new Vivo iQOO 8 series. This information comes from the two of the most popular Chinese tipsters. These tipsters also revealed a couple of details about the Vivo iQOO 8 series.

iQOO smartphone: Leaks

The first leak reveals the name of the iQOO 8 series. The leak also confirms about the support for Flash Charge charging technology. However, this could not be a huge leak, as most of the Vivo iQOO mobile phones already support fast charging technology. Another leak suggests that the iQOO 8 is likely to rely on the latest offering from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. This makes iQOO the next brand in line to offer a smartphone with Snapdragon 888 Plus chip. Earlier, the Honor Magic 3 is also confirmed to launch with same chipset.

Some of the features and specifications of the Vivo iQOO 8 series phone is leaked by another popular tipster, Digital Chat Station. According to his leaks, a latest mobile phone appears with the codename V2141A. The device appears with a spicy specification sheet. Vivo iQOO 8 Specs and Features:

The tipster also confirms about the existence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. The list further includes the information about the 12GB of RAM as the standard option. Vivo will carry forward the virtual RAM technology on this upcoming phone also. It is likely to be expanded by 4GB. The Vivo iQOO 8 smartphone will run on Android 11 OS out of the box along with Vivo’s own custom Origin OS skin on top.

Keep in mind these are just leaks. iQOO has not revealed anything yet. Therefore, we suggest you take this post with a pinch of salt. There will be only two major upgrades in iQOO 8 over the Chinese variant of iQOO 7. The addition of 2K display and availability of Snapdragon 888 Plus are the only two upgrades. According to previous leaks, the Snapdragon 888 Plus only offers some boost in AI performance, when compared over the vanilla option Snapdragon 888 chipset. The raw CPU performance remains same when compared with the regular variant.

The information about the launch of Vivo iQOO 8 in India is unknown. Meanwhile, the company s launching a new colour variant of the iQOO 7. The latest color option is likely to launch as the iQOO 7 Monster Orange Edition. The device will feature a new colour coating with a shade of orange and a bold “Monster” branding. It will be similar to what iQOO offered with Neo5’s variant in China. Also Read: Vivo iQOO Neo 5 launched with 66W Fast Charging, Snapdragon 870 SoC
