Samsung has official added another 5G smartphone in its arsenal. From past sometimes, Galaxy A22 has been making headlines. This Galaxy A series smartphone will fall in the mid-range price segment. It will join the current affordable 5G phone segment by the company. Other affordable Samsung 5G Phone includes the Galaxy A32 5G and the Galaxy M42 5G. To recall, the Galaxy M42 5G has recently launched in India. Based on recent rumors, Samsung has also unveiled the 4G variant of this Galaxy A22 phone. The 4G variant of Galaxy A22 is slightly different from the 5G model.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G:
The all new Samsung Galaxy A22 5G comes with 6.6-inch TFT display. The smartphone gets an Infinity-V display. The device features Full HD+ screen resolution. The Galaxy phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip. The Galaxy A22 5G comes with four storage variant including 4GB RAM/ 64GB of storage, 4GB RAM/ 128GB of storage, 6GB RAM/ 128GB of storage and 8GB RAM/ 128GB of storage. All these variant comes with expandable storage option. The storage can be expanded via a microSD card. Keep in mind, the availability of variants will be different for different regions.

Regarding camera configuration, the 5G variant features a square shaped rear camera module. This camera module resembles to the Galaxy M42 5G. Meanwhile, The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G comes with 48-MP triple camera module. The 48-MP primary sensor is accompanied by an 8-MP ultra wide lens and 2-MP depth sensor. For selfies, the front camera features a standard 8-MP sensor.
The Galaxy phone packs in a 5000mAh battery along with 15W fast charging support. The device runs on Samsung One UI 3.1 which is based on Android 11 OS out of the box. For security, the phone gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner support along with Face ID unlock feature using front camera. The device comes with a plastic build quality. Additionally, It comes in three color options including Grey, White and Violet colors. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is available in the UK markets for a starting price EUR 199 which is approximately Rs 22000 for the base variant of 4GB RAM/ 64GB of on-board storage.
Galaxy A22 4G:
Beside the 5G variant, the South Korean tech giant also launched a 4G variant for the Samsung Galaxy A22 phone. This 4G variant comes with a slightly smaller 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-V display. Additionally, The display supports an HD+ screen resolution much like the Galaxy M42 5G phone. Additionally the 4G variant also supports for 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. This device comes in three RAM/ Storage options including 4GB RAM/ 64GB of storage, 4GB RAM/ 128GB of storage, and 6GB RAM/ 128GB of storage.

The 4G variant of Galaxy A22 smartphone also comes with Quad-rear camera setup. Additionally, The first three camera sensors are same as the 5G variant, the fourth camera comes with additional 2-MP macro sensor. Additionally, the primary sensor comes with OIS support.
