Motorola Edge 20 and the Edge 20 Fusion are being teased for India launch. Lenovo-owned company Motorola has confirmed the release date of both the Edge series mobile phone on August 17 in India. To recall, the Moto Edge 20 belongs to the Edge 20 series. The device was launched in European market in the month of July. Whereas, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is likely to be the rebranded version of Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Earlier, the Lite variant was launched alongside the Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Pro.
Both the Motorola Edge 20 variant will come with company’s own nearly stock skin along with Android 11 operating system. Meanwhile, Motorola India has confirmed for the launch of both the Motorola Edge series phones in India. Additionally, the Lenovo-owned company has started teasing for the same via its social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The company has also changed its social media cover images. This is also to confirm for the launch of two new Motorola Edge series phone. With these images, it is likely that Motorola could skip the Edge 20 Pro variant. Some report suggests that it could launch it sometime later in this year in India.
Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Fusion Price in India
Motorola India is yet to reveal any official price detail for the Motorola Edge 20 phone. However, the smartphone could release at a similar price tag to what it was announced in Europe. In European markets, The Motorola Edge 20 price starts at EUR 499.99. This price is approximately Rs 43600 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The device is available in two colour options in European markets. It includes Frosted Onyx and Frosted Pearl colors.
On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion could be the rebadged version of the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. The Motorola Edge 20 Lite price starts at EUR 349.99. This price is approximately Rs 30500 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB of native storage. The Motorola Edge series phone comes in two colour options including the Electric Graphite and Lagoon Green colors.
Earlier, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion was likely to be the fourth model under the Motorola Edge 20 series. The Motorola Edge 20 series include the standard Motorola Edge 20, the Edge 20 Pro and the Edge 20 Lite. These devices were earlier speculated to be limited to the US markets only. However, now, the company has some change in plans. The company has decided to launch the new Motorola Edge series phone in Indian market.
Motorola Edge 20 mobile phone
The all-new Motorola Edge series phone comes with Dual-Nano SIM support. The standard variant runs on the Android 11 operating system along with nearly stock Android features. Additionally, the Edge 20 supports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display. The display gets a screen resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels. It comes with 144Hz refresh rate along with support for HDR10+.
The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset powers this device. Additionally, the chipset comes in pair with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage option.
Camera Configuration
As for the camera configuration, the Motorola Edge phone comes with 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The 108-megapixel primary camera sensor is accompanied by a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. This telephoto lens is also capable of 3x high resolution optical zoom and 30x digital zoom. For selfies and video chats, the Motorola Edge 20 comes with 32-megapixel selfie camera which comes with f/2.24 aperture.
Connectivity
Regarding other connectivity options, the Motorola Edge 20 phone gets all necessary connectivity options. These include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 and 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Similarly for the onboard sensors, the device includes an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. Motorola Edge 20 Fusion mobile phone
Motorola is yet to reveal the exact specifications for the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. However, according to reports, the Motorola phone is likely to be the rebranded version of the Motorola Edge 20 Lite. The device is likely to come with same 6.5-inch OLED display. Meanwhile, the same display is already available in the Motorola Edge 20. In the Lite variant, the screen refresh rate is reduced to 90Hz.

An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset powers the European variant. However, In India, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion could be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor. The chipset will come in pair with 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of onboard storage.
Camera:
Regarding camera configuration, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is likely to feature the same 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The 108-megapixel primary camera sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the device will also carry a 32-megapixel shooter with f/2.25 lens. Additionally, the Motorola Edge phone will include a 5000mAh battery along with 30W Turbo Power fast charging solution.
