Samsung Galaxy M30s, M31s receives Android 11 Update

The Samsung Galaxy One UI 3.0 update based Android 11 brings Google’s new February security patch, revamped UI, improved keyboard design.

Samsung’s reputation for software update has always been weak. But the tech giant from South Korea flipped the table this year and even budget and mid-range gadgets are easily getting software updates. Samsung Galaxy M30s and Galaxy M31s handsets, which comes with Exynos 9611 chipset are the newest members with Android 11 update.

The latest One UI Core 3.0 update is based on Android 11. According to SamMobile, the One UI Core 3.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy M31s is currently available for Russia and Ukraine only. The latest Android OS update with build number M307FXXU4CUAG for Galaxy M30s, M317FXXU2CUB1 for Galaxy M31s. This update brings the latest security patch for February.

One UI 3.0 Update: Features

With the latest update, users will get all the latest Android 11 features like one-time permissions, chat bubbles, prioritized notifications in the notification shade. Additionally, Samsung’s custom One UI 3.0 overlay offers some additional features which includes a new user experience, enhanced Digital Wellbeing. The new UI also offers improved interface response, new image categories added to the Dynamic Lock screen, improved keyboard layout with a wider space bar.

Samsung has already increase the input languages to 370 on Samsung Keyboard. After One UI 3.0 update, users need to update certain programs separately. To recall, Samsung has already updated its flagship models including Samsung Galaxy S20 series. Last month, The company has also pushed the One UI 3.0 update to its mid-range devices like Galaxy M31, Galaxy M21, and Galaxy F41. According to Samsung’s Android 11 update roadmap, the Galaxy Fold device is also expected to receive the latest Android OS stable build this month.

One UI 3.0 Update: How to Update?

If you happen to own any of the two devices. Then go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check whether your unit has received the update yet. If the update is available, then make sure to download it to experience the fresh software UI and other features. Keeping in mind, the update is being rolled out in batches. Thus, it may time to reach your device.

Samsung Galaxy M30s: Specifications

Back in India in 2019, Samsung Galaxy M30s was launch. It took about a year for Samsung to push the mid-range software updates. The Samsung Galaxy M30s comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display. Also, It comes with two storage options- 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage. The device comes with Exynos 9611 10nm chipset. The phone comes with a triple-rear camera setup. This camera setup comprising of a 48-MP primary sensor, a 5-MP depth sensor, and an 8-MP ultra-wide lens. It has a 16-MP camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is equipped with a huge 6000mAh battery and supports 15W charging. Additionally, The phone comes bundle with Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

Samsung Galaxy M31s features a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. The device comes with Exynos 9611 chipset. The device comes in two storage option- 6GB RAM/128GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage. It gets a triple rear-camera setup comprising of a 64-MP primary sensor, a 12-MP ultrawide sensor and a 5-MP depth sensor. Also, A small cutout upfront is present to accommodate the 32-MP selfie camera for selfies and video chat. Also, The Galaxy M31s packs a 6000mAh battery and comes with 25W charging, and reverse charging support.
