This Vivo T4 Lite 5G is a solid smartphone in the budget segment. Looking at the specs, this what it actually seems. Some of the major highlighting features include the 6,000 mAh battery, 50 MP Sony camera, IP 64 ratings, 1,000 nits brightness and much more. All of this is available at a price of under Rs 10,000. Vivo T4 Lite 5G Unboxing

Starting with the unboxing, just count the number of extra things that you get in the box. After opening the box, you will be greeted with the phone which of course comes with a pre-applied screen protector. Inside the box, you will get a transparent back case of decent quality followed by some papers.

Then there is a charging brick along with a USB Type-C cable and the SIM ejector pin. Just see how budget smartphones are more rewarding. On holding the smartphone for the first time, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. This is the exact feel every budget smartphone should offer. Highlighting features on T4 Lite

The Vivo T4 Lite 5G costs less than Rs 10,000 or $111, comes with a very interesting camera that can shoot in RAW. This has a massive 6,000mAh battery with tested 13 hours of screen on time. There is a 6.74 inch large and smooth 90 Hz display. The weirdest part is the AI eraser on this device. This feature is actually better than the latest iPhone 16. Design

Vivo T4 Lite 5G is made out of plastic. But it looks interesting and most importantly feels premium because of the matte texture. Yet the device manages to keep the glossy look. The handset is resistant to fingerprints, but it’s fine for the price point. This T Series smartphone feels slim and lightweight. It has got a headphone jack which is missed so dearly. Then there is a slot for Dual-Nano SIM along with expandable storage up to 2 TB.

There is a pretty reliable fingerprint scanner on the power button. This Vivo budget smartphone too gets an IP64 rating. The only thing that I hate are the bezels the weird looking notch and the chin. Overall, one can’t expect much about these features considering the price. Almost every budget and mid-range smartphone have these features. Also Read: Google Pixel 10 Series leaks ahead of launch

Display

Another feature that I don’t really like is the display size. It is so very big not for the faint-hearted. For a general users, it will take him some time to get used to such display size. Vivo T4 Lite 5G also gets a good IPS LCD display with the 90 Hz refresh rate, which makes it feel very smooth. The color contrast is great too for the price, even though it is not an AMOLED display.

Vivo T4 Lite 5G display features 1600*720 px display resolution. It supports only up to 1440p playback on YouTube. 4K for obvious reason is not supported. The brightness is good too as it has high brightness mode (HBM). This display can go up to 1,000 nits peak brightness. I never noticed any difficulty while using the T4 Lite outdoors. However, on a pretty sunny day, yeah there is difficulty while using this display. Another feature to keep in mind, there is also has a pretty loud speaker which is not present at the bottom but on the upper part. Audio

The loudness is decent because Vivo supports audio boosting on T4 Lite 5G. This audio can be boosted all the way up to 200%. Since this is an ultra budget smartphone, hence the speakers are ultra budget too. In a general way, there is obviously a lack of bass high frequency sounds. I would prefer to plug-in my headphone, since luckily there is a 3.5mm jack.

Performance

Now let’s take about the most important aspect in a smartphone, the performance. Vivo T4 Lite 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G processor. This is an 8-cores CPU with 6nm fabrication process. Now, what’s interesting is that, this chipset has two performance cores and six efficiency cores.

In normal usage, you will notice a lot of jitters. Even the touch often takes a little bit of time to register. But, while playing games, the system turns on the performance cores, and then the device feels unexpectedly smooth and responsive. But still I won’t recommend this smartphone to a hardcore gamer.

Gaming

Vivo T4 Lite 5G smartphone is built for someone who plays light to midweight games like Asphalt. Asphalt Legends Unite run very smooth even at ultra or high settings. In this game, average fps goes up to 60 fps. I also got this “not recommended” warning while switching from 30 to 60 fps. Overall, this Vivo budget smartphone is not recommended for gaming.

RAM + Storage

Vivo T4 Lite 5G smartphone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of EFS 2.2 storage. There is a middle variant which features 6GB RAM along with 128GB version based on eMMC 5.1 storage. Get either the 128GB or 256GB storage variant, both storage are UFS 2.2, which is quite aged. Also Read: Tecno POVA 7 5G, Tecno POVA 7 Pro 5G Launched in India

Talking about the RAM, apps are not kept running for much longer in the background. The device also get floating windows support. Lately, there are some improvements after some general updates. On the funnier side, the flagship grade iPhone 16 still doesn’t offer this multitasking feature.

Software

The T4 Lite 5G smartphone runs on the Android 15 which has Vivo’s FunTouchOS 15 skin. This custom skin is pretty good in terms of customizations. This skin offers various animations to play with. Moreover, all of these animations are customizable. Vivo promises two years of security updates for this budget handset.

Being an android phone, starting with the initial setup to the notifications, app folders, and others, there are so many ads everywhere. The overall experience is not very good, but this is expected considering the price bracket. Even the default dialer is not the Google Dialer. Camera

With below Rs 10,000 smartphone, one cannot expect very good cameras. While shooting, the main camera only goes up to 1080p 30fps. Even, there is no presence of any stabilization. Surprisingly, there is a dedicated slow motion mode which can actually shoot up to 720p 120 fps from the main camera.

The 50 MP main camera gets an f/1.8 aperture. Hence, the night shots offer good details in well maintained lighting conditions. There is also a dedicated portrait mode. However, the Vivo T4 Lite misses out on the 2x zoom option. Furthermore, the edge detection is decent.

Camera Modes

The portrait mode also takes a bit of time to shoot the photos. I personally don’t like the image processing on the Vivo T4 Lite 5G budget smartphone. Even in normal shots, the photos are very di-noised and oversaturated. To avoid such issues, I would highly recommend to start shooting in the RAW mode.

In RAW mode, the camera click two images, one with the Vivo’s image processing and other one with the RAW Format. But be mindful, as these images can take up to 20-50 MBs of storage. Furthermore, there are other camera flaws in the lens like chromatic aberrations. But flexibility on the camera overweighs these issues

There is 5 MP front camera for selfies and video calling. This front selfie camera supports most of the features like the portrait mode, night mode and more. In terms of video capabilities, this sensor can too record up to 1080p 30fps. There are also no stabilization options.

Battery

This is probably the best part on the Vivo T4 Lite 5G budget smartphone. The massive 6,000mAh battery can actually squeeze out 13 hours of screen time. This screen time includes gaming performance intensive tasks like running benchmarks, watching YouTube videos etc. The budget phone also got support for 15 watt fast charging.

According to 2025 standards, this 15W fast charging support is not very fast. The power users will appreciate the battery optimization features that help extend usage. Even with the 90Hz display enabled, we consistently got through a full day without needing to reach for the charger.

Vivo T4 Lite 5G: Final Verdict

The Vivo T4 Lite exceeds expectations for its price point, offering a premium design and specifications, smooth display, reliable performance, and exceptional battery life. While it has some limitations in camera performance, charging speed, it delivers where it matters most for budget buyers. If you’re looking for an affordable smartphone that doesn’t feel cheap, the Vivo T4 Lite deserves serious consideration in India with the launch. It proves that you don’t need to spend big to get a quality smartphone experience.
