Regarding our experience with ROG Phone 6 Pro, the display looks stunning with punchy colors. The touch response is excellent, and the haptic feedback is excellent. In our experience, the camera performance is not up to the mark. Since it is a gaming smartphone, camera performance is not the sector that is getting the top priority. Hence, anyone looking for a camera-centric smartphone should reconsider using the ROG Phone 6 Pro. Even though Asus has tried to offer better sensors instead of simply reusing the sensors present in the previous models.

The all-new Asus ROG Phone 6 packs a massive 6000mAh battery, a combination of dual 3000mAh batteries. This battery also comes with up to 65W fast charging solution. The Taiwanese tech giant has its 65W fast charger, but this isn’t coming inside the retail box—instead, the Indian retail unit ships with a 30W charger.

According to Asus, any USB PD 3.0 charger with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) and the appropriate power should also be able to charge the ROG Phone 6 Pro fully. However, one of the premium features of Wireless Charging is still missing on this Pro variant.

  • Asus Armoury Crate App

The ROG Phone 6 Pro boasts two Super Linear Speakers on either end of the body, which is rather loud. As for the gaming features, the Asus Armoury Crate app also offers many customization options for an individual gamer. Furthermore, this app will allow gamers to monitor the CPU and GPU temperature. It will also modify the lighting and tweak the functionality of AirTriggers or the Ultrasonic buttons.

Now, with a “Press and lift” gesture on these Ultrasonic buttons, the user can perform two actions within a game with a single gesture. The in-game dashboard, Game Genie, has also been redesigned. Now, this gaming dashboard can also be accessed simply by the swipe-down gesture.   • Asus Aero Active Cooler 6

This time, the Taiwanese tech giant sells the Asus Accessories separately. The Aero Active Cooler 6 is one such accessory that is sold separately. Meanwhile, it now includes a thermoelectric cooling system which is based on Peltier Chip. Asus also claims that it can reduce the surface temperature of the phone by up to 25 degrees Celsius with the “Frozen” Cooling Mode.

The Asus Aero Active Cooler 6 also has four additional buttons, which can be programmed within certain games. Remember, this new Cooler will work only with the Asus ROG Phone series and is also not backwards compatible. Hence, we cannot use this Cooler with the older models.

Overall, the latest Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro is a beast of smartphones. It will follow the Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro’s footsteps and take the ROG Phone legacy further. The Taiwanese tech giant confirms that the Asus ROG Phone 5 series will continue to be marketed in India. So, buyers will have a more affordable option over the other gaming smartphones. However, the new ROG Phone Pro is worth the upgrade over the previous generation.
