Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G launching soon in India

Samsung will announce the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in India as its most inexpensive 5G smartphone.

Last year, Samsung shocked all mobile geeks in India by introducing Galaxy S10 Lite. Galaxy S10 Lite is a Galaxy S10 watered-down with more features, a smaller battery and most importantly a lower priced Snapdragon 855 Plus device.  Samsung followed the same path for Galaxy S20 FE, since it was successful with previous generation devices. The S20 FE did not attract many reviewers, all courtesy Exynos 990 chipset.

Now Samsung may want to create similar hype with Galaxy S20 FE 5G among it’s Indian costumers and reviewers. According to PriceBaba, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G’s support page has been spotted on Samsung India’s website. The phone was also spotted getting the latest BIS certification, suggesting an immediate launch.

Galaxy S20 FE: The Predecessor

The S20 FE 5G is likely to be similar to the global variant which uses the Snapdragon 865 chip rather than the Exynos 990. Although the Indian Galaxy S20 FE was a fantastic handset, the inferior Exynos 990 chipset was struggling though. The phone was overheating and often struggles with the resource-intensive games. The phone is likely to support 4G networks only. However, the international variant has a Snapdragon 865, which has solved all the Exynos problems.

Samsung’s S20 FE 5G coming to India

In India, 95% of the 4G version, with the exception of the chipset, of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G can be kept. This handset is likely to have the similar plastic unibody style. Similar display with 6.5-inch display size and an equally smooth 120Hz refreshing rate of the Super AMOLED experience.
