Infinix has added a new smartphone to its GT series in India with the launch of the Infinix GT 30 5G Plus. The phone arrives as a slightly toned-down sibling of the Infinix GT 30 Pro. Notably, the Infinix GT 30 Pro 5G was introduced in the country in June. The latest 5G Plus handset packs some features that will grab attention, especially among mobile gamers. This is the first phone in its segment to feature physical shoulder triggers for gaming. Infinix GT 30 claims to promise better control in fast-paced titles like BGMI, which can run at 90fps. The smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC and a 5,500mAh battery.

Infinix has finally introduced a new gaming-centric smartphone, GT 30 5G Plus in its GT series in India. The latest smartphone from Infinix comes equipped with a decent set of features and specifications. Such hardware makes it one of the most affordable gaming-centric smartphones in the country. Beside the gaming-centric hardware set, the 5G smartphone also gets a customisable LED light panel on the back for notifications and visual flair.

Infinix calls this LED light panel as the Cyber Mecha 2.0 design. The similar design is also available on the Infinix GT 30 Pro. Additionally, the GT 30 also offers a large AMOLED display, and a cooling system designed to keep temperatures in check during intense gaming sessions. Infinix GT 30 5G+ price in India starts at Rs 19,499 for the 8GB + 128GB base option. Apart from this, there is another variant with the 8GB + 256GB variant that costs Rs 20,999. Considering the price to performance ratio, the smartphone comes equipped with a decent set of features and specifications. Regarding its availability, the GT 30 5G Plus smartphone is available for purchase through Flipkart and the Infinix India online store. As part of the launch offers, buyers can get Rs 1,500 off on ICICI Bank credit or debit card transactions. Besides this, there is an additional Rs 1,500 discount on exchange. Customers purchasing from the Infinix India store for a limited period will also receive a free GT Gaming Kit worth Rs 2,999. This Gaming Kit includes a magnetic cooling fan and a GT case.

To start with the design, the Infinix GT 30 features a similar design language to that of the Pro model. The smartphone gets the Cyber Mecha design language with customisable white lights on the rear panel. This 5G smartphone comes with attractive colour options, including Blade White, Cyber Green, and Pulse Blue. Out of these three, the Cyber Green colour option looks much more premium for the price tag. Overall, such gaming-centric design language surely makes this device stand out from the crowd. 

In terms of physical appearance, the smartphone also comes with Infinix GT Triggers on the right side frame. The triggers are customisable. The handset features a 144Hz screen refresh rate, a 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate. Infinix claims that the GT 30 display can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Furthermore, the device gets Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection along with HDR support.

The display looks sharp, and the blacks appear deep. In bright sunlight, the display performs decently. There is a bonus IP64 rating, which makes it dust- and splash-resistant. The screen also has TÜV Rheinland Eye Care Certification. Overall, this AMOLED display is crisp, it is highly suitable for gaming considering the price. Performance

Under the hood, the GT 30 device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip. This chipset is a highly capable processor in this price segment. The phone has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. More importantly, being a gaming-centric device, the Infinix model also supports 90fps BGMI. This gaming feature is officially certified by the game developer.

Infinix GT 30 5G Plus gets LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It ships with Android 15-based XOS 15. The handset will receive two major OS upgrades and three years of security patch updates. The phone gets Infinix AI features like the Folax AI Voice Assistant, AI Note, AI Gallery, AI Writing Assistant and more. It also supports Google’s Circle to Search feature.

Gaming

The gaming-focused Infinix GT 30 5G+ has GT Shoulder Triggers. These are capacitive buttons on the right edge of the handset. These button helps to provide tactile, and responsive input. Besides this, the handset also features an interesting set of gaming enhancements that enhance the device’s gaming capabilities. There is an Xboost AI feature that helps to enhance the gaming performance using different tools. Furthermore, an AI Magic Voice Changer allows to change voice in real time with nine female and six male voices.

Camera

Coming to cameras, the Infinix GT 30 features a dual-camera setup on the rear panel. There is a 64 MP primary camera with Sony IMX682 main sensor. The secondary camera is an 8 MP ultrawide shooter. The phone also comes with a 13 MP sensor at the front for selfies and video calls. On the back panel, the phone has customisable Mecha Light LED units with more than 10 lighting patterns. Overall, the camera interface looks improved.

At the same time, using GT triggers to click photos is a useful feature. Being a gaming-centric smartphone, we cannot make any complaints about the camera specifications. Battery and other Features

The Infinix GT 30 5G+ packs a 5,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. It offers bypass charging and 10W reverse wired charging support as well. For security, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset has an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating. Along with this, there is an IR blaster for controlling ACs and smart TVs. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. It also supports Infinix’s UltraLink technology as well.

In terms of sensor, the Infinix GT 30 5G+ also gets all the necessary sensor. These sensors include the GT TRIGGER, G-SENSOR, E-COMPASS, GYROSCOPE, LIGHT SENSOR, PROXIMITY SENSOR, IN-DISPLAY FINGERPRINT.
