On Wednesday, Vivo official announced the comeback of the brand as the title sponsor for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. To recall, Last year due to Galwan Valley conflict, Vivo was replaced by Dream 11 as the title sponsor for IPL 2020. Later same year, several Chinese apps including TikTok, PubG Mobile and others were also banned in the country. However, these apps are still unavailable in the country. But surely this is a good news for the Chinese Smartphone makers as they make their return as the title sponsor for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 edition.
The company also gave a press briefing in which they confirms that Vivo has retained their position of Title sponsors for IPL 2021 edition on same terms as previous deal. They also confirms that this shows the commitment of Vivo towards the Indian market. Vivo as title sponsor for IPL 2021 edition:
Due to Anti-Chinese sentiments in the country, last year The Chinese Smartphone markers Vivo was replace by Dream 11 as the title sponsor for IPL 2020. Dream 11 is an Indian Fantasy Sports Platform which is highly popular among Indian youth brigade. This year Vivo will be the title sponsor for this year’s edition of IPL. According to BCCI, The 2021 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on April 9th.

Vivo India also released a press statement about the upcoming edition of IPL 2021 stating that IPL is a highly influential game in India. They confirms that they are really excited to restore their partnership with this league. The company official also states that the game of Cricket has always unites the nation especially in country like India. As a brand our company focuses mainly on Indian Youth.
