MediaTek has recently launched its two new chipsets. These chipsets come under its Helio G series. The latest chipsets come with the name of the Helio G96 and the Helio G88. According to company, these new system-on-chip (SoCs) will provide options to the smartphone manufacturers. As, these chipsets will provide customers with cutting-edge display and improved photography capabilities. Let’s check out what these new MediaTek Helio G96 and Helio G88 have to offer.
MediaTek Helio G96:
The all-new MediaTek Helio G96 SoC comes with the support for 120Hz refresh rate. This chipset provides support for Full HD+ display along with no limitation in DDIC supply, C-phy or D-phy interface. Additionally, with this chipset the 120Hz Full HD+ support is available for both LCD and AMOLED displays. This chipset also brings support for supersized 108-megapixels primary camera system.
The chipset comes with CAT-13 4G LTE WorldMode modem integration, dual 4G SIM and VoLTE services. It also gets Intelligent Resource Management Engine and Networking Engine. It also includes the company’s own HyperEngine 2.0 Lite game technology. This benefits users with the better and improved gaming experience.
MediaTek Helio G88:
The other chipset launched comes with the name of MediaTek Helio G88 chip. This chipset brings in support for 90Hz displays and integrated voice wake-up. The octa-core SoC includes two ARM Cortex A75 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. Additionally, the Helio G88 chipset with support for 64MP main camera system. It also gets hardware depth engine for dual-camera bokeh captures, a Camera Control Unit (CCU). The chipset also gets support for Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) technologies.
Similar to Helio G96, this chipset also comes with support for company’s own HyperEngine 2.0 Lite Game technology. Thus, allowing users to get better gaming experience. With the launch of both Helio G96 and the Helio G88, MediaTek improves its position in the leading chipset innovators in global market. Both the new SoCs delivers improved display and photography experience for the main stream market. These chipsets will be powering the upcoming smartphones from different brand in global market.
