Few post back, we commented about the discontinuation of Mi 11 Lite 4G from Xiaomi in India. However, Xiaomi later denied this statement, and confirms that Mi 11 Lite 4G will continue to sell in India. Now, some rumours suggests that Xiaomi is planning to bring another variant for this Mi 11 Lite mobile phone in India. The device is likely to be called as the Mi 11 Lite NE. The leaks suggests that this upcoming Mi 11 Lite variant is likely to be the 5G variant.
To recall, the Global variant of the Mi 11 Lite 5G comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. However, In India, this 5G variant is likely to rely on the Snapdragon 778G chipset. Although, there is no concrete reason for this change. But we suspect that there is something to do with the Global shortage of Snapdragon 780G chipset. Earlier, Xiaomi launched the Mi 11 Lite 4G variant with the Snapdragon 720G chip. The device performs impressively and is still love by many Mi fans in India.

Mi 11 Lite NE could launch soon in India:
According to popular leakster Kacper Skrzypek, Xiaomi India is possibly working on a new variant for the Mi 11 Lite series. However, this is an unverified information provided by the leakster. Therefore, it is better to wait for any official announcement from Xiaomi. The Mi 11 Lite 5G is the only 5G variant currently selling in the global markets. On the other hand, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE could be slightly cheaper device for the pocket-friendly markets like India. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G is not that expensive as the Snapdragon 780G. Therefore, it directly suggests that Xiaomi is aiming for a lower price device. In India, there is a huge price gap between the Mi 11 Lite 4G and the Mi 11X. Xiaomi is planning to fit this Mi 11 Lite NE in between these devices. However, it remains to be seen how Xiaomi retains the rest of the specs and features on this upcoming 5G variant. The current 5G Global variant comes with improved durability and much better front camera quality. The Mi 10i 5G is currently the most affordable 5G smartphone available in India. The Mi 10i 5G relies on the Snapdragon 750G chipset. The device is available for a lesser price than the Mi 11 Lite 4G. It comes with a 108-megapixel primary camera setup. It also offers 120Hz IPS LCD display.
