Mi 11 Ultra India launch set for April 23, to start at over Rs 70,000

Xiaomi recently launches multiple smartphones under Mi 11 series at Mega Launch 2021 Event. The smartphone launched under Mi 11 series includes Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Lite. Now, the Chinese smartphone makers is all set to launch the top-end Mi 11 Ultra smartphone in India. According to officials, the company is all set to launch the Mi 11 Ultra smartphone on April 23 in India.

On April 1, Xiaomi India made official announcement about the launch of Mi 11 Ultra in the country. Xiaomi India confirms that Mi 11 Ultra is all set to launch in India on April 23. To recall, the device has already launched in China and other Global markets. Mi 11 Ultra India launch confirmed

Xiaomi India has also started sending press invites for the official launch of this Mi 11 Ultra. Although, The press invite mentions only about the Mi 11 Ultra. Even then, we are still expecting that other Mi 11 smartphones can also arrive in India. The launch event will take place virtually. It will be live-streamed via Xiaomi’s official YouTube channel. Other details about this upcoming launch will be share later via Xiaomi’s Social Media channels.

Mi 11 Ultra Pricing Leaks

Recently, a new report came from Gadget360 in regards to this Mi 11 Ultra. This report suggests that the flagship Mi 11 Ultra is likely to start over Rs 70,000 in India. If this report comes true, then this will be the most expensive price tag that a Xiaomi smartphone will carry in India. This report came from a person familiar with the development team. He informed that Mi 11 Ultra is likely to be available for purchase in Indian market at a starting price tag of above Rs 70,000. This person further revealed that following the trend of other flagship smartphones, Xiaomi will not locally produce the Mi 11 Ultra smartphone initially. This means that initial units will be imported from China. With this import, an extra import duty will added to the pricing of the smartphone.

 

Mi 11 Ultra International Pricing

To recall, this smartphone was earlier launched in China. The pricing for this Mi 11 Ultra starts at CNY 5,999 which is approximately Rs 67,000 for the base 8GB RAM/ 256GB of internal storage. The 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of CNY 6,499 which is equivalent to Rs 72,600. The top-end variant with 12GB RAM/ 512GB of storage is price at CNY 6,999 which is approximately Rs 78,200.

If compared with European pricing, the Mi 11 Ultra has been launched in Europe with a starting price of EUR 1,199 which is approximately Rs 1,03,400 for the 12GB RAM/ 256GB of native storage. If this pricing stands out true, then Xiaomi will compete with flagship device like OnePlus 9 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S21. Also, Xiaomi has been trying hard to enter the flagship segment from past one year. Last year also, Xiaomi launched Mi 10 in the flagship premium smartphone segment, but did not succeed that well.

Xiaomi Mi Ultra: Features and Specs

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra is a high-end smartphone which comes with most of the trending features. Starting from cameras, The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra comes with a big rectangular rear camera module which houses three camera sensor. These camera sensors includes 50-MP main camera with Samsung GN2 sensor, a 48-MP ultra-wide lens with a Sony IMX586 sensor, and a 48-MP telephoto lens. For selfies, the smartphone includes a 20-MP snapper. This smartphone comes with multiple camera features like 8K videos, improved night mode, ToF laser focus system, up to 120x digital zoom, and more. The camera bump also houses a secondary 1.1-inch AMOLED display with AOD feature, notifications and rear-view selfies.

Regarding display, the smartphone features a 6.8-inch Quad-curved AMOLED display along with upto 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The device is power by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. This chipset comes coupled with upto 12GB RAM/ 512GB storage. The smartphone is back by 5,000mAh battery along with 67W both wire and wireless charging. The flagship smartphone also supports 10W reverse charging feature. The device runs on MIUI 12.5 which is based on Android 11 OS. Additionally, this smartphone from Xiaomi comes as the first smartphone to feature IP68 water and dust resistance feature. Also, for security, it comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other features include dual-stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, AI Face Unlock feature and more.
