Microsoft Paint, Photos and other stock apps to get revamped with new Windows 11

Microsoft’s stock apps like Clock, Voice Recorder, Calculator, Office, Notepad, Photos and Paint will get major design update with Windows 11 operating system.

Recently, Microsoft has officially launched the all-new operating system in form of Windows 11. The all-new Windows 11 operating system comes as the successor to the currently available Windows 10 OS. The latest operating system is built on the same core architecture. With the launch of new operating system, Microsoft is offering noticeable changes. These changes are “new Windows Subsystem for Android”, Xbox like features and much more. According to recent reports, Microsoft is likely to redesign some of the old features and apps on this new Windows OS. These features and apps may include Microsoft Photos, Calculators, Office and even Microsoft Paint app.

According to Windows Latest report, Microsoft stock apps are like Clock, Voice Recorder, Office, Calculator, Notepad, Photos and MS Paint could get a new design on Windows 11 OS. MS Paint and Photos for Windows app could abandon their conventional ribbon menu in favor of a Fluent header, akin to the new File Explorer, to match the new version’s aesthetics. Additionally, Windows Latest also shared some images for the same.

Microsoft Paint: New Design (Expected)

As per these leaked images, Microsoft Paint on Windows 11 is likely to feature a simplified toolbar. In the new design, the undo/redo button will appear next to the “File” and the “View” option. All these options will appear in the header section. The new design also will bring new simple icons. These icons will perform basic tasks as well. As per reports, the Redmond-based company is likely to bring these changes in the latest Windows OS. These changes will also be compatible with modern-day machines. Microsoft Photos: New Design (Expected)

Beside MS Paint app, Windows Latest also suggests that the Microsoft Photos app is also likely to have a new interface and improvements. The newly revamped Microsoft Photos app is likely to have a new editing tool. These tools will float above an image. Moreover, A similar editing tool is already seen on Android and iOS app. The report also suggests that Microsoft could be working on the new Outlook app. Furthermore, Microsoft Edge Web Viewer is anticipated to be used in these apps, including the Microsoft Teams client for Windows 11.




Regarding the release of the new design, Windows Latest suggests that the new design will come on many apps. These apps include Microsoft Paint, Photos, Office and many more will launch alongside the upcoming Windows OS. To recall, the new Windows 11 OS is due to release between October and November. Microsoft is likely to roll out the stock updated apps in the Windows 11 OS. The roll out could take place in coming weeks on the beta version for the user’s feedback. The report also suggests that the manual installation on supported device is likely to release by October 2021. However, the wider rollout could take place by early next year.
