Based on latest leaks and teasers, The Poco F3 series is expected to launch in the month of March. These leaks and teasers came directly from Poco Officials. According to these leaks, the company is likely to follow it’s rebranding strategy. The Chinese smartphone makers could bring rebranded Redmi K40 series in form of Poco F3 series.
Poco F3 series: Leaks and Rumors
According to rumors, The Redmi K40 could launch as Poco F3 and the top-end Redmi K40 Pro is likely to rebrand as Poco F3 Pro. Hints even confirm that the Chinese smartphone makers could re-enter premium segment in India with the launch of Poco F3 series. Tipster Mukul Sharma also confirms that Poco F3 series could launch in global market in the month of March. Additionally, Poco’s Global Spokesperson tweeted “March“. This tweet reassures that the launch of Poco F3 smartphones could happen anytime in the month of March. However, the spokesperson did not gave any hint or details about the rumored Poco F3 and Poco F3 Pro.
But, various leaks floating on the internet have hinted at these Poco smartphones, are likely to be the rebranded version of Redmi K40 series. To recall, Redmi K40 series has already launched in China in last month. The Redmi K40 series is a successor to the previous generation Redmi K30 series. This Redmi K40 series will join the premium smartphone space with Xiaomi’s Mi 11 series.
Poco F3 series: Pricing
Regarding pricing, Redmi took an aggressive pricing strategy in China. The pricing for base model of Redmi K40 which comes with 6GB RAM/128GB of internal storage starts at Rs 22000. To recall, a similar pricing strategy was utilized by Poco for Poco F1 in 2018. Therefore, Poco will follow same footsteps of Redmi this year also. It is expected that these smartphones is likely to fall under same price segment as Redmi models.
Poco F3 Series: Specs
The rebranded Poco F3 is likely to come with couple of interesting features. The device is likely to features a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display which comes with 120Hz of refresh rate. Also, the Poco F3 series smartphone will be power by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 SoC, which delivers a top-notch performance. The handset packs in a 4520mAh battery which comes with fast-charging support out of the box. Regarding cameras, the device will come with a 48-MP quad camera setup which comes with some additional camera features to look out for.
Previously, some MIUI codes also suggests that Xiaomi could bring it’s sub brand Redmi K40 series to India as rebranded Mi 11X series. These hints suggested that Redmi K40 could rebrand as Mi 11X and Redmi K40 Pro will be renamed as Mi 11X Pro. Thus, leaving Xiaomi to launch Mi 11 in the later part of the year under ultra premium price segment.
