This upcoming gaming smartphone will launch under Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi. Thus, so far it concludes to be Redmi Gaming phone. According to recent leaks, this upcoming gaming smartphone will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC.

This leak about MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC on Redmi Gaming phone was reported by popular tipster Digital Chat Station. The Dimensity 1200 Chipset is one of the most capable 5G chipset from MediaTek. Both theoretically and practically it offers flagship level of performance. According to previous performance on other smartphone, this chipset can easily handles most of the mobile games. Redmi Gaming phone: Leaked Specs
According to leaked reports, Xiaomi is likely to use a Samsung-made AMOLED display. This display will come with a punch-hole cutout for the camera. To recall, this display is already used on Redmi K40 and Xiaomi Mi 11. The device will come with a 5000mAh battery that will power everything onboard. Additionally, Redmi might bring a faster-charging solution to support quick charge feature.
Leaks also suggests that this Redmi Gaming phone is likely to come with a 65W fast charging support. The Chinese brand claims that this charging solution can fill up the entire battery in just 30 minutes. To recall, Redmi is still stuck on the older 33W wired charging solution for its recently launched Redmi K40 series and also for Redmi Note 10 series. Now, Redmi is planning to bring same 65W fast charging solution, which is available on it’s competitor brands like Realme, Oppo, OnePlus and more. Additionally, Redmi is planning to add a unique feature of dedicated shoulder triggers. To recall, similar trigger feature is already available on Asus ROG series smartphones. However, ROG phone comes with ultrasonic triggers. But, this Redmi gaming phone will feature physical keys.
Redmi Gaming phone: Expected Price
The leaks also hints at tentative pricing for Redmi gaming smartphone. As per leaks, Xiaomi’s affordable gaming smartphone coming from the house of Redmi could start at USD 300 which is approximately Rs 22,000. With this price tag, the upcoming gaming smartphone will be place under same price category as recently launched Poco X3 Pro. To recall, this Poco X3 Pro is power by Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC. Although, these are just rumors. We have to wait and watch how Redmi price this gaming smartphone. The all new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC has already made it’s debut with recently launch Realme GT Neo in China.
