At CES 2022, Intel officially unveiled the entire series of 12th Gen ‘Alder Lake’ laptop and desktop processors. The chipset maker claims that the new 12th Gen Intel Core mobile processors are up to 40 percent faster. These processors can easily beat the previous gen mobile processors in processing speeds. With the launch of new Intel Core 12th Gen Mobile processor, Intel still dominates the PC chipset business globally.
Intel 12th Gen Processors for Mobile and Desktop launched:
During the launch event, Intel unveiled 28 new 12th Gen Intel Core mobile chipsets. Intel claims that the new 12th Gen Core H-Series laptop processors are capable of delivering desktop-like performance. Moreover, the new machines powered by the new chipset will launch next month in the international market. Consumers can expect all major brands like Acer, Asus, HP, Dell, Lenovo, MSI and Razor to bring high-end laptop with latest Intel processors.
12th Gen Intel Core H-Series Processors:
To recall, the 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU for desktop was launched last year. Now, Intel has launched the 12th Gen H-Series processors for laptop. The new series will bring Intel’s hybrid architecture with heterogeneous cores to laptops. The hybrid design of the chipset includes up to 6 performance cores and up to 8 efficiency cores. This ensures optimal battery consumption. A similar architecture is used by Apple for the M1 chipset.
Intel states that the Core i9-12900HK is the new flagship CPU. The chipset maker claims that the new CPU is the fastest mobile processor for laptops ever made. Moreover, it is the world’s best mobile gaming platform. Intel claims that the new Aldar Lake chipsets are the most scalable series till date. These chips can power designs across consumers, enterprises, Internet of Things (IoT) products and other applications.

Intel Core i9-12900HK Mobile processor:
As mentioned above, Intel brings 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series mobile processors featuring flagship Intel Core i9-12900HK processor. This Intel flagship mobile chipset is the world’s best mobile gaming platform. Furthermore, it is the fastest mobile processor which will power the upcoming laptops from various OEMs. The new chipset brings huge improvement in performance while ensuring optimal battery consumption.
In the new chipset, Intel has paired Performance-cores and Efficient-cores with workload prioritization and management distribution. This is done through Intel Thread Director 3. Intel claims that the new Intel Core i9-12900HK offers improved system performance across single and multi-threaded application.
The top-end Intel Core i9-12900HK gets a base frequency of 2.5GHz for the performance cores. In the Max Turbo mode, the frequency can go as high as 5.0GHz. Similarly, the base frequency of efficiency cores is 1.8GHz. In Max Turbo Mode, the frequency can go as high as 3.8GHz.

12th Gen Intel Mobile processors: What’s New?
– The all-new chipset offers up to 5GHz frequencies.
– The chipset features 14 cores including 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores. Furthermore, it also gets 20 threads.
– Intel claims that the new 12th Gen Intel Core processors can deliver up to 28% faster gaming performance.
– For content creators, the new Intel 12th Gen H-series processors could offer up to 43% higher performance in 3D rendering.
– The latest chipset offers vast memory support for DDR5/LPDDR5 and DDR4/LPDDR4 modules up to 4800 MT/s.
– Similarly for connectivity, the new Intel chipset can use integrated Intel Wi-Fi 6E.
– The latest chipset also gets Thunderbolt 4 support. This allows to deliver transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps. Furthermore, it also allows PC connectivity to multiple 4k monitors and accessories.
