MIUI 12.5 update rolling out for Redmi Note 10 and other entry level devices

According to reports, Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update to its affordable smartphones including the Redmi Note 10 and other Redmi A series devices.

The MIUI 12.5 update is currently the latest skin available on the Xiaomi devices. With MIUI latest version, multiple users have reportedly confirmed that the new update has boosted the overall performance. The new MIUI update improves the general performance and offers more control over the system apps available in your phone. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has been releasing this MIUI update on various devices. However, for the reach of this update, Xiaomi is very slow across various price segments. According to reports, the next device to receive this update is the hot selling Redmi Note 10.



MIUI 12.5 update on Redmi Note 10:

To recall, the Redmi Note 10 was launched early in 2021 under the Redmi Note 10 series. The Redmi Note series features one of the most prime devices which are pocket friendly to the customers. The report suggests that the Global variant of the Redmi Note 10 has started receiving the MIUI 12.5 update. This MIUI 12.5 update is based on the Android 11 operating system. At the time of the launch, the Redmi Note 10 comes with MIUI 12 out of the box. However, Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 10S which runs on the latest MIUI 12.5 out of the box. Additionally, the Chinese brand has already released the MIUI 12.5 update on other devices a few weeks back. These devices include the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and the Mi 11X.

MIUI 12.5: List of other Xiaomi phones

Xiaomi has already confirmed that there are many other affordable devices eligible for this MIUI 12.5 update. The Chinese smartphone makers has handpicked multiple devices including the Xiaomi Redmi 8A, Redmi 8, and Redmi 7A for the MIUI 12.5 update. Currently, the latest MIUI update is only available for the Chinese variant of these devices. But the Chinese brand has assured the users from India and other Global markets about the MIUI 12.5 update. The company has confirmed that the new MIUI update for the global variant is around the corner. Additionally, the Chinese smartphone brand has also confirmed that this will be the last update on these devices.

Beside this MIUI 12.5 update, recent rumours suggests that Xiaomi is planning to launch a new 5G phone in India. The device could launch with the name of Mi 11 Lite NE 5G. The Xiaomi 5G phone could also launch in the coming weeks. The rumours suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite NE may run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. On the other side, the Chinese brand has just launched its first ever Redmi-branded Windows Notebook in India.

The all-new RedmiBook Pro and the RedmiBook e-learning Edition comes as the most affordable 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake notebook. These notebook price starts at Rs 41999 in India. The e-Learning Edition of RedmiBook targets students, and the first-time notebook buyers. Whereas, the RedmiBook Pro aims for work from home customers. Additionally, Redmi has promised to update these devices to next Gen Windows 11 operating system as and when it releases.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi is yet to rollout the MIUI 12.5 update on various phones. The company could announce the MIUI 13 as the next version of the MIUI skin by the end of 2021. According to leaks, the upcoming MIUI 13 will be the more polished version of MIUI 12.5. The next gen of MIUI 13 skin will be more visually attractive than ever before.
