Poco F4 5G in India starts at Rs 27999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The smartphone also has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage with a price tag of Rs 29999. The top-end Poco F4 5G variant packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and this variant comes with a price tag of Rs 33999.
Poco India is offering this Poco F4 5G in two colour options, including Nebula Green and Night Black colour. Regarding its availability, the Poco F4 5G will be available for sale on Flipkart. Under these introductory offers, the Poco F4 5G is available with an introductory discount of Rs 1000. The SBI cardholders can also avail of an additional discount of Rs 3000. Redmi K40S in China
As mentioned above, the Poco F4 5G is already available in China. In China, the smartphone launched with a different name under a separate sub-brand. The Poco F4 5G is a rebadged version of the Redmi K40S. In China, this Poco F series 5G phone is available under Redmi branding with Redmi K40S. The Redmi K40S price in China starts at CNY 1799, roughly Rs 21000 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The all-new Poco F4 5G is a dual-SIM smartphone running on Android 12 with MIUI 13 for Poco on top. It sports a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ E4 AMOLED display. This display offers a screen resolution of 1080*2400 pixels. Furthermore, it offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The all-new Poco F4 5G is the next-generation Poco F Series smartphone. It is not only the direct successor to the gaming-centric Poco F3 GT, which was launched last year. But it also offers more premium-grade features in the mid-range space. As we all know, the Poco F series is always known to deliver flagship-grade performance at an affordable price. Considering its price, this Poco F 4 5G targets the balance between powerful specifications and a premium-level design.
Poco F4 5G: Unboxing
Like any other Poco phone, the Poco F series phone also comes inside a Yellow-Black-themed box packaging. On the top of the retail box, we can see the smartphone’s name, Poco F4 5G. On the back side of the retail box, we can see some vital highlighting features and specifications of the mid-range Poco F Series smartphone. The back side also features the price and the manufacturing details.
We get a yellow-themed compartment when opening the Poco F4 5G retail box. This compartment packs the all-important SIM Tray ejector pin, some documentation, and paperwork. Additionally, the compartment also fills a 3.5mm Type C adaptor. This confirms there is no place for a 3.5mm headphone jack on the smartphone. The Poco F4 5G retail box also packs a good-quality clear case. The TPU case comes with a boxy design which is familiar with flat side design. Poco F4: Design
In our first experience, the Poco F4 5G is an excellent-looking smartphone. Meanwhile, we got the Nebula Green finish handset. The matte texture on the rear side with a plastic frame and glass back panel offers a premium feel over the handset. Furthermore, the Poco F series 5G phone also comes with rounded edges. Thus, making it exceptionally comfortable to hold in hand for a more extended period.
Talking about the physical design, the standard set of ports and buttons are in familiar places on the Poco F4. There is no place for the headphone jack. But we still get the evergreen infrared emitter. As for the downsides of this Poco 5G phone, there is no in-display fingerprint scanner, although the phone uses an AMOLED display. The fingerprint scanner is also placed inside the power button on the right side.
Poco F4 5G: Other Features
The all-new Poco F4 5G gets the stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support. Luckily there is a separate cutout in the frame for the top-firing speaker. Poco F4 gets a big display
The display on the Poco F4 5G is bright and massive. It sports a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ E4 AMOLED display. In general usage, the content on this display looks crisp and clear. Additionally, this is one of the few phones in this price segment to support Dolby Vision HDR playback for Netflix. Furthermore, it also gets HDR 10+ support for Amazon Prime Video.
The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection protects this display and also covers it from scratches and smudges. Furthermore, it also offers a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, Poco India claims that this display can reach a peak brightness of 1300 nits and offer a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. In our experience, the brightness levels are also different for different situations.
Snapdragon 870 on Poco F4
One of the most-balanced Snapdragon 870 SoC powers the mid-range segment Poco 5G smartphone. Meanwhile, it is one of the most powerful 5G chipsets for multitasking and gaming. Furthermore, the smartphone also supports 10 5G Bands and dual 5G-standby support.
4500mAh battery on Poco F series smartphone
This time Poco is offering a 4500mAh battery on the F4 smartphone. This battery comes with support for a 67W Fast charging solution, and the company also provides the 67W original charger within the retail box. However, skipping on the part, the handset does not come with wireless charging support.
Triple cameras on Poco F4
The triple rear camera setup on the Poco F series 5G smartphone comes with the 64MP primary rear camera. This primary camera also gets optical image stabilization (OIS) with 4-in-1 pixel binning support. Furthermore, the secondary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. Additionally, there is a 20MP selfie camera as well. Considering these camera specifications look decent on paper. MIUI 13 for Poco 5G phone
Talking about the software, the Poco F4 5G also runs on the MIUI 13 for Poco, which is based on Android 12. The user interface looks colorful and feature-rich. Meanwhile, in our experience, we have not noticed any spammy notifications yet from the preinstalled apps. Although the Indian sub-brand has not officially committed to any long-term software updates for the latest F4 5G, this could be a little disappointing for more users.

In our perspective, this Poco F series 5G handset makes it to a successful mid-range smartphone list. Meanwhile, the device gets a very capable chipset with impressive features, and the complete hardware is packed inside a premium body.
