WhatsApp App: According to reports, WhatsApp has started rolling out a new app update that introduces the long-awaited multi-device functionality. This update enables non-beta testers to join and sync with the multi-device beta program, granting them access to upcoming features and updates on the instant messaging app. WABetaInfo, a reliable source, has confirmed this information.

The report from WABetaInfo also confirms that the new functionality will allow users to link their WhatsApp accounts on up to four devices, in addition to their primary device. It is important to note that these additional four devices must be non-phone devices in order to utilize this feature.

How to enable multi device support for WhatsApp app?

To access the multi-device feature on the instant messaging app, users have the option to participate in the beta program. By joining the beta program, users can also follow these steps to enable the feature:

  • Joining/ Leaving WhatsApp multi-device beta programme on Android app

  1. Open the WhatsApp application on their primary smartphone.
  2. Go to the Settings menu.
  3. Select the “Linked Devices” option.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to link additional devices to their WhatsApp account.
  5. Once linked, users can enjoy the multi-device functionality and use WhatsApp on their non-phone devices.
