Microsoft Surface Go 3 goes official with new processor option

Microsoft Surface Go 3 launches with not a major change over the predecessor, Microsoft Surface Go 2. However, the latest notebook comes with a new processor option.

Microsoft unveiled a set of new hardware models at the Surface Event few days ago. The Redmond based tech giant also launched the all-new Microsoft Surface Go 3 laptop. Although, the latest laptop does not bring much changes beside getting new processor. Although, the design of the new laptop remains same, but the Microsoft Surface Go 3 is claimed to offer 60 percent faster speeds than its predecessor.




The tech giant, Microsoft is offering this latest Surface Go laptop as a family device. Additionally, the Surface Go 3 comes with a dedicated Kids Mode. Moreover, the tech giant launches this Surface Go 3 runs on Windows 11 OS out of the box. Besides, the all-new 3rd generation Surface Go, the Redmond based tech giant also launched the Surface Laptop Studio, Surface Pro 8 and foldable smartphone with the name of Surface Duo 2.

Microsoft Surface Go 3: Price and availability

The all-new Microsoft Surface Go 3 comes with a starting price of USD 399 which is approximately Rs 29400. To recall, this price is exactly the same as its predecessor. Last year, the tech giant unveiled the Surface Go 2 at the same starting price of USD 399. Here, the base model of the Surface Go 3 is available at USD 399.

Currently, the device is available for pre-orders in “select markets” only. The company yet to make any announcement about the LTE models’ availability. At the launch event, Microsoft has just confirmed that they will be making the LTE model available in the coming months. Additionally, the tech giant has also confirmed that the Surface Go 3 will start shipping from October 5. As mentioned above, the Microsoft Surface Go 3 will be shipped with Windows 11 OS pre-installed.

Microsoft Surface Go 3: Specifications

For interested consumers, the all-new Microsoft Surface Go 3 comes as an affordable 2-in-1 laptop. The new Surface Go Edition is designed similar to its predecessor. In the launch event, The Redmond based tech giant claims that the new Surface Go 3 laptop is 60 percent faster than the earlier model with up to Intel Core i3 processor. Additionally, there is an optional LTE Advanced support. This feature will enhance the connectivity while on the go.

  • Display and Hardware:

As for the dimensions, the Microsoft Surface Go supports a 10.5-inch touch display. This display comes with a 3:2 aspect ratio. This touch sensitive display gets a screen resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y or the Intel Core i3-10100Y processor powers this device. This processor series is an upgrade over the Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y or the Intel Core m3 processor which powers the Surface Go 2 laptops.



  • Other Features:

The new Surface Go 3 comes with the same design, cameras, speakers, ports and the same dimensions as the Surface Go 2. It features 1080p cameras both on front and back. Additionally, it comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. In other features, the latest Microsoft laptop comes with support for Windows Hello facial recognition. Additionally, the laptop also comes with support for Dolby Audio and Studio microphones. The tech giant claims that the Surface Go 3 LTE variant is designed in such a way, that it can deliver an all-day battery life. The Surface Go 3 also comes with the Microsoft Pen Protocol. Although, users have to buy a stylus separately.
