Microsoft Surface Go 3 goes official with new processor option

Microsoft Surface Go 3 launches with not a major change over the predecessor, Microsoft Surface Go 2. However, the latest notebook comes with a new processor option.

At the recent Surface Event, Microsoft introduced new hardware models, including the Microsoft Surface Go 3 laptop. The Surface Go 3 is the latest addition to the Surface family of devices. Although, the latest Surface laptop does not offer much changes, besides it features a new processor that boosts its performance. The design of the Surface Go 3 is similar to its predecessor. But Microsoft claims it to deliver 60 percent more speed.



Microsoft’s new Surface Go 3 laptop is a family-friendly device that features a Kids Mode for safe and fun learning. The Surface Go 3 also comes with Windows 11 OS pre-installed, offering a smooth and intuitive user experience. Along with the Surface Go 3, Microsoft unveiled other new hardware models at the Surface Event, such as the Surface Laptop Studio, the Surface Pro 8, and the Surface Duo 2 foldable smartphone.

Microsoft Surface Go 3: Price and availability

The Microsoft Surface Go 3 is the latest device in the Surface family, and it has the same starting price of USD 399 (around Rs 29400) as the previous model. The Surface Go 2 was launched last year at the same price point. The Surface Go 3 base model offers a budget-friendly option for users who want a versatile and portable device.

The Surface Go 3 is open for pre-orders in some markets, but Microsoft has not revealed the availability of the LTE models yet. The company announced at the launch event that the LTE models will be released soon. The Surface Go 3 will start shipping on October 5, with Windows 11 OS already installed on the device.

Microsoft Surface Go 3: Specifications

The Microsoft Surface Go 3 is a budget-friendly 2-in-1 laptop that offers versatility and portability. The Surface Go 3 has a similar design to the previous model, but it has a new processor that boosts its speed by 60 percent. Microsoft Surface Go 3 also has an optional LTE Advanced feature that improves the connectivity on the move.

  • Surface Go laptop with Intel Processors

The Microsoft Surface Go has a 10.5-inch touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. The 3:2 aspect ratio gives users more vertical space for reading, browsing, and getting things done. This Microsoft device runs on either the Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y or the Intel Core i3-10100Y processor, which are faster than the processors used in the Surface Go 2 laptops. To recall, Microsoft Surface Go 2 laptop features the Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y or the Intel Core m3 processor.



  • Other Features and Improvements

The Surface Go 3 has the same design, cameras, speakers, ports, and dimensions as the Surface Go 2, but it has some new features and improvements. The device has 1080p cameras on both sides, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of SSD storage. The Surface Go 3 also supports Windows Hello face recognition, Dolby Audio, and Studio microphones. The LTE model of the Surface Go 3 has a long-lasting battery that can last for a whole day. The device is compatible with the Microsoft Pen Protocol, but the stylus is sold separately.

The Surface Laptop Studio is a new device from Microsoft that combines the features of a laptop, a tablet, and a studio. Here are some of its main specs:
