The launch date for its latest Redmi K40 series was confirm by Xiaomi on Tuesday. As we get closer to the launching event, rumor mill shouts detailed specifications of the handset even before its official debut. The Redmi K40 launch is schedule for February 25th in China. However, As per rumors, the phones may even debut in India under POCO branding.
Both the phones recently received TENAA certification with the model numbers M2012K11AC and M2012K11C. According to these certifications, Both phones are expect to have a Centre-positioned punch-hole cutouts for the selfie camera and quad-camera module at the back. Now, the TENAA listings have been update giving us the complete details about its specifications. The listing gives information about size, Android OS version, battery capacity, and dimensions.
Redmi K40: Expected Specs
The vanilla Redmi K40 is expect to feature an elongated body with protruded camera module at the back. According to TENAA listing images, the device with model number M2012K11AC features a curved edges and a flat display. The volume rockers and power button are position on the right edge. At the back, comes the rear camera with LED flash at the top along with Redmi branding at the bottom left corner. Also, The device is speculated to feature a center punch-hole front camera.

Regarding cameras, the phone will come with a 108-MP primary sensor, an 8-MP sensor and a 5-MP sensor. The front camera will be 8-MP shooter for taking selfies and video chat. The Redmi K40 will be back by a 4,500mAh battery.
Redmi K40 Pro: Expected Specs
The Pro variant is expect to feature similar dimensions like the regular variant. The device with model number M2012K11C. However, the Pro model is likely to come with a quad-camera setup instead of triple cameras. A protruded camera module on the rear side of the unit can be seen. The power key is present to the right, while SIM tray is locate to the left side.

Redmi K40 Pro is likely to comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor. According to listing images, the phone will feature similar display dimensions and resolution as the base model. The Pro version will comes with higher RAM model of 12GB RAM. The device will also feature a bigger 5000mAh battery backup.
The Redmi K40 Pro smartphone is likely to come with a quad-rear camera setup. The phone could include a 108-MP primary sensor, a 13-MP secondary sensor, a 5-MP sensor and a 2-MP ‘quaternary’ sensor. To recall, Redmi’s General Manager Lu Weibing touts that the Redmi K40 series’ will have the world’s smallest punch-hole cutout. According to TENAA listing, the Redmi K40 could be offered in pale blue color option. Whereas, The Redmi K40 Pro will come in black/gray color variant.
