The Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale, which is eagerly anticipated, now has its official dates announced. As the festival season approaches, the annual sale will kick off on October 4. Last week, the e-commerce giant made the announcement regarding the upcoming Great Indian Festival Sale.
Subsequently, Amazon officially revealed the exact sales date through a virtual press conference. Similar to the previous year, the annual festive sale will span the entire festive season and be available on various e-commerce platforms in the country. Furthermore, Amazon India will provide early access to Prime members, allowing them to take advantage of exclusive deals and discounts available throughout the sale.
Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale preponed
In addition to Amazon India, Flipkart has also made an announcement regarding its highly anticipated Big Billion Days 2021. Initially, Flipkart India had revealed that the sale would begin on October 7. However, following Amazon’s announcement, Flipkart rescheduled its sale dates. The Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale will now commence on October 3. Similar to Amazon Prime members, Flipkart Plus members will also enjoy early access to the deals and discounts. The Flipkart Big Billion Days 2021 will run until October 10.
Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2021: What’s New?
This year to attract the customers, Amazon has created a dedicated microsite for the Great Indian Festival Sale 2021. This microsite indicates different types of deals and discounts available on various products. These includes the mobile phones, accessories, electronic items such as TVs, Refrigerators, laptops, tablets and much more. The page also provides some games to collect diamonds and participate in contest. To recall, these Diamonds can be used while making any purchase during the sale.
The annual Amazon Sale is also offering some best offers in form of discounts and cashback on Amazon products. These products include the likes of Echo device, Fire TV, Fire TV Sticks and Kindle devices. During this sale, these Amazon devices are available at the lowest price of the year. Moreover, there will be multiple Alexa based smart home combo offers. These offers can be expanded to the user base of the voice assistant in the country.

Addition to these discounts and deals, multiple companies will be launching over 1000+ new products before the sale begin. These brands include Apple, Asus, Fossil, HP, Lenovo, OnePlus, Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi and many more. Moreover, there will be other new launches like Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Xbox. Amazon Pay offers at Great Indian Festival Sale:
Amazon Pay is also touted to provide customers with various offers. Here, customers can save up to Rs 5000 during the Great Indian Festival Sale. This saving can be access by making payments for various utility bills, booking tickets and sending money. Additionally, for this year’s festive sale, Amazon has partnered with HDFC Bank. Here, Amazon will be offering a 10 percent instant discount offers to the customers for making a purchase using the HDFC Bank cards. These includes both HDFC Bank Debit and Credit cards. The offer is also applicable on EMI transaction also during the Great Indian Festival Sale.
Amazon customers who joined the Amazon Prime membership will get an early access to the Great Indian Festival Sale. The Prime members will be getting additional cashback offers, extended no-cost EMI options. Additionally, they will also be getting additional warranties that will be available during the Special Prime Fridays. What’s new at Amazon?
Citing Nielsen survey, Amazon India Vice President Manish Tiwary shares that more than 78 percent of its sellers are likely to reach out to the new customers during this festive season sale in the country. Recently, Amazon India also expanded its language support to Bengali and Marathi. This will help sellers to reach new customers. These new languages will join the existing language like Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. In last 15-18 months, Amazon saw increase in customers. With more than 65 percent of customer orders and over 85 percent new customers. The e-commerce website sees hike in customers. Now, Amazon India is reaching smaller town and tier two cities. Although, the company officials did not provide exact number of new customers coming on board.
Festive Sale to continue throughout the month
Unlike Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale 2021, the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2021 is month long sale. On the other hand, the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale is a six-days event. It’s possible that this will be similar to how the company handled numerous selling rounds last year. Customers’ celebrations of the festive season do not begin with Diwali but rather with Dussehra, Navratri. Therefore, the sale will continue throughout the month. This makes the Great Indian Festival a month-long celebration confirms Amazon India Vice President.
With this the customers can enjoy a month-long celebration. Additionally, they can also access the great deals every day from various Indian and International brands. Mobile phones, consumer electronics, laptops, home entertainment, and groceries are among the product categories. Amazon expects to experience substantial growth during the holiday sale.
