Fossil brings two new smartwatches with Android Wear OS at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022. These smartwatches come with the name of Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and Skagen Falster Gen 6. Both Wear OS based smartwatches are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ SoC. Moreover, the latest Fossil smartwatch run on Google’s latest Wear OS version.
Fossil Smartwatch at CES 2022:
The all-new Fossil Razer X Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch is designed in partnership with gaming peripherals brand Razer. At the launch event, Fossil has already confirmed that this special edition smart watch will be available in limited numbers. Wearable makers also confirmed that the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and Skagen Falster Gen 6 watches will be compatible with Google Wear OS 3. The smart watch makers also confirmed that the Wear OS 3 update will roll out later this year.

Razer X Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch: Price and availability
The all-new Razer X Fossil Gen 6 smart watch goes official with a price tag of USD 329 which is approximately Rs 24500. As for the availability, the latest Razer smart watch is available on Fossil official website. Furthermore, the Fossil smartwatch is also available on Razer’s official website, GameStop and other offline and online retail store. Fossil confirms that there are only 1337 units of the Razer smartwatch. The Razer X Fossil Gen 6 comes with Black case along with 22mm Black and Green Silicone straps.

Fossil Skagen Falster Gen 6: Price and availability
On the other hand, Fossil Skagen Falster Gen 6 smartwatch comes with an official price tag of USD 295 which is roughly Rs 21900. Just like Razer X Fossil Gen 6 smart watch, the Skagen Falster Gen 6 is also available on the company’s official website. The Fossil Smart watch comes in five distinct colour options. These are Black, Charcoal, Espresso, Rose Gold and Silver colours.

Both smart watches, the Razer Fossil Gen 6 and Skagen Falster Gen 6 runs on Google’s Wear OS. The Fossil smartwatch support a 1.28-inch AMOLED touch display. This display gets a screen resolution of 416×416 pixels. Moreover, it gets a pixel density of 326ppi in a 44mm round dial. Design and Hardware:
Under the hood, each Fossil smartwatch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chipset. This chipset comes in pair with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. As for the design, these Fossil smartwatches gets three buttons on the right edge. Here, the middle button acts as the Home button. This middle button can rotate as well. While, the other two buttons can be configured based on the user’s requirements.

Connectivity and Sensor:
For connectivity, the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and the Skagen Falster Gen 6 smartwatch gets all necessary connectivity ports. These smartwatches come with Bluetooth v5 LE, GPS, NFC SE, and Wi-Fi. Similarly for the on-board sensors, these Fossil smartwatches gets accelerometer, altimeter, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope. Moreover, for fitness related sensors, these smartwatch gets fff-body IR, PPG heart rate sensor, and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) sensor.

For the battery backup, Fossil claims that the batteries on the smartwatch can last for more than 24 hours. With 30 minutes of charging, these Fossil smartwatches can offer 80 percent of juice. Furthermore, both watches are water-resistant up to 3ATM i.e. 30 meters.

Fossil Smartwatch with Alexa Support:
The American brand,Fossil is planning to bring Amazon Alexa support for all of its Gen 6 Android wear smartwatch. The support for Amazon Alexa will come with an in-built widget. The report further suggests that the update will be pushed later this year. Whenever this feature arrives, it will be first ever smartwatch to offer Amazon Alexa experience. Furthermore, users will be able to experience Amazon Alexa on Google’s Wear OS powered smartwatches for the first time.
Major difference between the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and Skagen Falster Gen 6 comes in form of customisable Chroma dial. Furthermore, the customisable dial in Razer X Fossil smartwatch gets four settings. These settings include Breathing, Spectrum Cycling, Static, and Wave. Furthermore, both Fossil smartwatches can connect to Android and iOS smartphones using their specific apps.
