Lenovo ThinkPad X1 launches as the foldable PC in India

Lenovo has officially launched ThinkPad X1, the foldable PC in India. The latest device comes with a steep price tag of Rs 3.29 lakhs. The PC features a foldable OLED display.

Lenovo launches its folding ThinkPad X1 PC in India. The device came in limelight from the time of its launch a few years ago. Now, Lenovo India has finally launched the device in Indian market with a very huge price tag. The tech giant has launched a single variant in India with a price tag of Rs 329000. Thus, making it one of the most expensive consumer PCs in India. Initially, the company is offering the latest foldable PC at a lower introductory price.

ThinkPad X1: Introduction

On Lenovo India’s website, The all-new ThinkPad X1 comes with a price tag of Rs 248508. This price is a lot cheaper than the original MRP. But with this price, the foldable laptop is still one of the priciest laptops in India. The main highlight of this laptop is its foldable display. A similar foldable display is already seen on the Motorola Razr series. The all-new Lenovo laptop runs on Windows 10 Professional. This makes it one of the first few Windows devices with a folding display.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Foldable PC: Features

The latest Lenovo ThinkPad X1 comes with a 13.3-inch 2K OLED display. The unique feature about this laptop is its foldable display. The display comes with touch sensitive features. It can reach a peak brightness of up to 300 nits. Additionally, Lenovo has added multiple modes to make full utilization of the folding form factor. This display can be folded like a book to read. It can also be folded completely to use it like a tablet. Additionally, the laptop can be fold in a way to use the virtual keyboard for typing documents.

Keep in mind, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 comes with Stylus Pen support. This Stylus pen can be used for illustration and controlling the experience. Leather wraps around the outside, forming the body and concealing the hinge. Lenovo has packed powerful PC components inside despite the tablet-like physical factor. An Intel Core i5 CPU and Intel UHD Graphics 11th Generation power the whole thing.

ThinkPad Foldable Laptop: Specifications

The all-new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 laptop comes with an 8GB LPDDR4X 4267MHz RAM along with a 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD Storage. A 50Wh battery power on the device for up to 10.4 hours at max. Also, the Rapid Charge Technology quickly charges this battery. For multimedia, the device comes with Dolby Atmos tuned quad-speaker system. These speakers add four microphones in it. A 5-MP HD front camera come along with an IR sensor. This IR sensor is useful for Windows Hello verification. Regarding connectivity options, the device includes support for 5G networks, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and a nano-SIM card slot. The folding PC weighs 999 grams only despite of having a black leather folio case on the outside. Currently, Lenovo is selling the ThinkPad X1 in only single-color option.
