Parallel charging technology under works, could help Xiaomi achieve double charging speeds

Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new charging technology called Parallel Charging Technology. This technology will work on smartphone batteries and allow faster charging speeds.

These days, Smartphones has started using Dual Cell Battery in their new smartphones. To charge this dual cell battery, we must need some kind of fast charging speed. Apparently, Xiaomi is reportedly working on a similar kind of technology for fast charging. This new technology will allow to achieve double charging rates, if compared with current charging speeds. According to reports, Xiaomi is working on a similar parallel charging technology. This technology could achieve similar speeds or even faster than 120W charging solution.

To recall, Currently, the maximum charging speed can be achieved from the 120W charging solution. The report about this new technology comes from none other than Digital Chat Station. Digital Chat Station comes with his latest post on Chinese micro blogging website, Weibo. In the post he states that Xiaomi is currently working on a large capacity charging solution. This parallel charging solution could even double the fast charging speeds.

How does dual cell charging technology works?

This Dual cell technology has been around since many years. The technology is been used in modern day smartphones. Keep in mind, the smartphones like the Mi 11 Ultra and the OnePlus 9 Pro uses split battery technology. In this technology, a larger capacity battery is divided into two smaller units. With this latest faster parallel charging system, the cells can be charge faster using high voltage and high current.

Xiaomi’s Parallel Charging solution:

According to reports, this parallel charging technology could divide the charging speeds into individual cells. Therefore, this will amplify the charging speeds and will result in faster charging. As mentioned above, Xiaomi’s fastest charging solution comes with a limit of 120W. This technology was launched with last year’s Mi 10 Commemorative Edition. With the introduction of this Xiaomi parallel dual cell technology, the company could out do this old fast charging technology.

In India, the Mi 11 Ultra brings the fastest charging solution. The smartphone comes with 67W fast wired charging solution. However, the company is yet to provide the 67W fast charger in the box in the country. The smartphone also supports 67W wireless charging solution. However, this can be only achieve by using the Xiaomi’s proprietary charging solution. Keep in mind, Xiaomi has launched this Mi 11 Ultra smartphone with a larger 5000mAh battery. We have wait for future smartphones to see how this Parallel Charging solution works on Xiaomi devices.

Fast Charging solution in other brands:

On the other hand, BBK owned brands like OnePlus, iQOO and others are also leading the charging speed race. Some of the brands comes with its 120W charging solution. BBK owned iQOO recently launched iQOO 7 Legend smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with 66W fast charging solution. However, in China, the smartphone was earlier launch in China with 120W fast charging solution. Earlier, Oppo has showcase its 120W solution at MWC event.
