Twitter has been teasing about a new audio chat feature from past few months. This feature is currently in testing phase and is similar to Clubhouse like audio chat rooms. Twitter call this audio chat feature as Spaces. Currently, The feature is available to iOS and Android users. As per latest reports, the micro-blogging company, Twitter has confirmed that they are working on ways to bring this Spaces feature to its web users on desktop.
Twitter Spaces Preview Cards
According to App Researcher Jane Manchun Wong, the micro blogging company is working on Twitter Spaces preview cards for their web platform on desktop. Wong also showcased these Twitter Spaces preview cards via a tweet. The tweet shows how these preview cards will be viewed on a web version. Later, the company also confirmed this news to The Verge. The company shared the information that they are working on this feature for web browsers.

Twitter Spaces is an advanced feature and is much ahead than any of its competitors including Clubhouse. To recall, Clubhouse is the first app to bring similar feature even before Twitter Spaces. The only drawback of Clubhouse app is that it is limited to iOS platform only. Having presence on both iOS and Android Platform, and now even on web platform on desktop, the Twitter Spaces gains a major advantage over it’s other competitors.

Discord also brings Stage Channels Feature
As per reviewers, Although, Twitter Spaces is available on iOS platform. Currently, it works only on iPhones. With this web version, the company might be planning to enable this feature on iPads also. Until written, the company has not announced the official date about when this Twitter Spaces feature will be made available for the web platform on desktop. Looking at the development speed we can expect this feature to launch pretty soon. According to recent post, Discord recently launched a new audio chat room feature called Stage Channels feature.
