Apple iPad models to launch with OLED display in 2022

According to rumors, Apple is likely to introduce new iPad Models with OLED displays. The iPad 2022 models will replace LCD screen with OLED displays.

Apple iPad models has now started featuring in the rumor mills. According to reports, the Cupertino Tech Major is likely to launch the next gen iPad models in next year 2022. The report suggest that 2022 iPad models will launch with OLED display. This means that Apple iPad will make a switch from LCD screens towards OLED display. If report comes true, then it will be the first ever Apple iPad with OLED displays. This will be an addition to the micro-LED display. To recall, the micro-LED displays was introduced with iPad Pro models.

2022 Apple iPad models to launch with OLED screen:

According to reports from ETNews, Apple is planning to adopt OLED screen for some of its upcoming iPad models, starting in 2022. However, the report does not disclose as to which model will launch with an OLED display. But there are chances that it will be the mid-range iPad Air that might launch with the OLED display. Apple using OLED screen on iPhone Series:

Beside OLED screen on Apple iPad Models, Currently, Apple includes the OLED displays in iPhone models and its smart watch series only. These OLED screens are provided by both Samsung and LG. Additionally, the upcoming iPhone models will also get OLED display. To recall from previous post, the Pro models of upcoming iPhone models will get LTPO OLED display, manufactured at Samsung. Whereas, the standard iPhone 13 models will get standard 60Hz display which is likely to be manufactured by LG and BOE. According to reports, this relationship with both these South Korean companies is likely to continue. Both these companies could provide OLED screens for the future Apple iPad models also.




To recall, earlier, popular Apple Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also hinted for the same back in March. According to his leaks, the high-end Apple iPad models are likely to launch with Mini-LED screens. Whereas, the other iPad models will move forward with the OLED displays. Additionally, the Mini-LED screen could also land on future MacBook Pro models too. This change in display will allow Apple to provide users with better display quality. The OLED display will provide deeper blacks and higher contrast images. However, the other details for the upcoming Apple iPad models remains unknown. But there are chances that with the change of display, Apple might call for a different design with more color options. Currently, we don’t have any concrete information regarding this topic. Therefore, we suggest you take this post with a pinch of salt.
