There has been a buzz all-over the internet about the Oppo’s first ever foldable smartphone. The Chinese smartphone makers have officially unveiled the launch date of their first ever foldable smartphone. Oppo is finally ready to launch its new foldable smartphone under the name of Oppo Find N. Previous reports also suggests that Oppo is planning to launch its first ever foldable smartphone this month. Some recent leaks about the upcoming foldable Oppo smartphone have also surfaced online. Moreover, the company has also started to send out the invite for the launch event of the same.

As per this launch invite, Oppo is planning to officially launch the Oppo Find N on December 15. This is the second day of the Oppo Inno Day. The announcement about this launch event has been officially made by Pete Lau, Oppo’s CPO and OnePlus’s co-founder. Moreover, he also shared the render images of the to be launch foldable mobile phone in its folded state.

Second Leak:
In this second post, he mentions about the Oppo Find N 5G smartphone. This device will debut with a foldable display. It will also feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor for taking selfies. The post also shares a reference about the Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra’s secondary display. To recall, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra comes with a secondary display which can pull photos from the main camera. This hints that the Oppo Find N 5G, the foldable smartphone could also feature a tiny display.
Oppo Foldable to get similar display as Galaxy Foldable:
Some previous leaks also suggests that the Oppo’s first foldable smartphone could feature an inward folding display. This display is similar to the Galaxy Z Fold/ Galaxy Z Flip series. The leaks further reveals that the cover screen of the phone is slightly curved at the edges. It could also get a centered punch hole camera. The outer screen could get a 60Hz refresh rate. Whereas, the inner folding canvas is likely to get a 120Hz refresh rate display. The punch hole camera will sit at the top left corner.

As mentioned above, the company is finally ready to launch its new foldable smartphone Oppo Find N. The company has sent out an invite for an event on December 15. Previously also reports from MyFixGuide suggests that Oppo is planning to unveil its first foldable smartphone on December 15. This is the same date during the company’s annual Inno Day Conference. The report further adds that the foldable smartphone from Oppo has also received MIIT certification.

A separate report reveals that the Oppo’s first ever foldable smartphone could support a 2K 8-inch tablet-sized AMOLED display. This display is likely to come with 120Hz refresh rate. It will also feature a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor. As mentioned above, the device is likely to feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX766 selfie sensor. This will allow selfie camera to take selfies and for video chats.
Under the hood, Oppo Find N 5G is likely to get its power from the flagship Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC. This chipset will come in pair with Adreno 660 GPU. Meanwhile, the memory configuration has not been revealed as of yet. The foldable device will also get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for device security. The complete hardware will get its back up from a 4500mAh battery along with 65W fast charging support. Moreover, the foldable smartphone will run on Colour OS 12. It will be based on Android 12 OS out of the box.
