Red colour OnePlus Nord 2 is planned, will be launching on July 22

OnePlus has been teasing for red colour option for upcoming Nord phone from past few days. Previously also, OnePlus has launched some other smartphone in this colour option. The Chinese brand is now planning to launch another smartphone with this red colour option. This time the smartphone will be OnePlus Nord 2. According to recent leaks, OnePlus is working on the same variant for Nord 2 phone alongside the Grey, Blue and special edition Vegan Leather variant.

The render images of the red colour OnePlus Nord 2 have been made public by the popular tipster Evan Blass. The render reveal nothing new. The smartphone comes with basic design, expect for the new red colour coating. As per images, the shade of the red seems to be bit dull if compared to other red variants of the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 6T phones. It is likely that the device might also wear a matte coating as well.

OnePlus Nord 2 in red colour:

The red colour coating appears not only on the rear but on the frame also. However, the front bezel continues to appear in Black colour. The rest of the design appears to be similar to the other colour variants of the OnePlus Nord 2 phone. The upcoming phone resembles much with the OnePlus 9 5G smartphone which was launched a few months ago in global markets.

Meanwhile, it remains unanswered whether the OnePlus is opting for a premium glass-metal design for the red coloured variant. To recall, both the OnePlus 6T and the OnePlus 7 comes with bright red finishing on their glass back. The OnePlus 5T also features red colour finishing. However, it gets a bit different effect on its metal unibody design.

OnePlus Nord 2 Specifications:

The OnePlus Nord 2 will be using the flagship grade MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI based chipset. This chipset delivers the same level of performance as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Additionally, the upcoming OnePlus Nord phone will also include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 Sensor. This camera sensor will come in pair with an OIS system. The details about the other camera sensor remains behind the curtains. We have to wait for the launch event to know more about the OnePlus Nord 2 phone.

Currently, iPhone SE is the only product under Rs 40000 price bracket to wear red colour coating. Apple also brings red colour options for its iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Mini smartphones.
