Red colour OnePlus Nord 2 Leaked: Everything You Need to Know

OnePlus is planning to launch a red colour option for its upcoming Nord 2 smartphone. This would be the first time OnePlus has launched a red colour option for a Nord phone.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to be a mid-range smartphone with a number of impressive features, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor, a 90Hz AMOLED display, and a triple-lens rear camera system.

The red colour option is expected to be available in the same configurations as the other colour options, including 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is likely to launch in India in July 2021. It is unclear when the red colour option will be released, but it is likely to be available shortly after the launch of the other colour options.



Red OnePlus Nord 2 Render Images Leaked: Matte Finish and Subtle Design

Popular tipster Evan Blass has leaked render images of the red colour Nord 2. The renders reveal a subtle design with a matte finish. The shade of red is slightly duller than the red variants of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 6T phones.

Apart from the new red colour coating, the design of the OnePlus Nord 2 remains unchanged. The phone features a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. There will be a triple-lens rear camera system arranged in a vertical module. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right edge of the phone, while the USB Type-C port and speaker grille are located at the bottom.

The upcoming Nord 2 could launch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor. Furthermore, it will feature a 90Hz AMOLED display. It is also likely to have a triple-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.

The Nord 2 red colour variant features a matte finish on both the rear and frame, except for the front bezel, which remains black. The overall design of the red colour variant is similar to the other colour variants of the OnePlus Nord 2. Furthermore, it also resembles the OnePlus 9 5G smartphone.

It is unclear whether OnePlus is using a premium glass-metal design for the red colour variant. Previous OnePlus smartphones with red color variants, such as the OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7, and OnePlus 5T, all featured a bright red finish on their glass backs. However, the OnePlus 5T’s red color variant had a slightly different effect on its metal unibody design.

The upcoming Nord 2 is likely to feature a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset. This chipset delivers similar performance to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Thus, making it one of the most powerful mid-range chipsets on the market.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is also likely to have a 50MP Sony IMX766 camera sensor. This sensor is capable of offering excellent low-light performance and ability to capture high-quality images. The Nord 2 is also likely to have an OIS system for improved image stabilization.

It is unclear what other camera sensors the OnePlus Nord 2 will have. Although, it is likely to have a triple-lens rear camera system. The Nord 2 is also likely to have a high-resolution front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone in India soon. It is likely to be available in a red colour option. The Nord 2 is likely to be a mid-range smartphone with flagship-grade features. These features may include a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset, a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, and a 90Hz AMOLED display.

If the Nord 2 comes in India with a red colour option, it will be one of the few smartphones under Rs 40,000 to offer this color variant.
