Google has officially confirmed that its annual I/O developer conference 2021 will held in the month of May. The event for developer conference will begin on May 18th as virtual event. The conference will continue until May 20th. To recall, the US-based search giant cancelled their I/O event last year due to worrisome situations courtesy COVID-19 Pandemic. After taking a big break for one year, Google has decided to conduct this years Google I/O Developer conference virtually. As per sources, this year’s conference event is likely to be much bigger and better than ever before.
Google I/O Developer Conference 2021:
Google has officially announced that the I/O 2021 event will feature Consumer and Developer Keynotes. These Keynotes will mainly focus on company and product news. It will be followed by Technical Sessions, where products announcements will be made and new features will be introduced about current line up. The tech giant has made announcement that Google I/O 2021 will allow developers from around the world to engage in thoughtful discussions. They can also get opportunity to learn from Google experts.
The company also shares that they will be providing these developers with the first look at their latest developer products. These products will be showcase through workshops, Ask Me Anything Sessions (AMAs), personalized content, live QnA sessions, chat in I/O Adventure, developer profile badges and much more. The company also adds that the compete schedule for the virtual live event will be announce later this month.
New Products Announcement at Google I/O 2021
Learning from the past, At Google I/O, The tech giant usually announces details about their latest software versions following some hardware announcements. To recall, at last Google I/O event, the budget Pixel 3a was showcase at Google I/O 2019. However, due to cancellation of last years event, Google announced the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 in July last year. These smartphones are launch along side Pixel 4a LTE variant. This year, the company is likely to launch its Pixel 5a smartphone at Google I/O 2021 event. However, the tech giant is yet to share the official launch details of the same. Although, some rumors are surfacing over the internet about its eminent launch. Additionally, as per reports, the tech giant is also working on its own Pixel silicon. As per previous post, this new Silicon chip is likely to debut with the upcoming Google Pixel 6 lineup. However, the company has not revealed much details about the launch of upcoming Pixel 6 series devices. The Google I/O 2021 event is the best platform to announce these Pixel smartphones.

According to recent reports, Google will surely announce the launch of its latest Google Android software version. The all new Google Android version will be dubbed as Android 12. At the launch event, The company will soon be providing the clearer roadmap both in terms of latest features and availability of the same. Keep in mind, Google’s biggest competitor Apple is also set to host its WWDC 2021 event virtually. The WWDC 2021 event will be starting from June 7. At this event, the Cupertino based tech company is likely to announce its latest iOS, MacOS, TVOS and much more.
