A 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the OnePlus Ace is priced at CNY 2999, roughly Rs 35400.

The new OnePlus Ace is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone running on Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1. This OnePlus phone sports a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. For optics, the OnePlus Ace in China comes with a triple rear camera setup. This camera setup is headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera sensor. This 50MP primary camera gets an f/1.88 aperture. Furthermore, this primary camera also supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This camera sensor is precisely the same as the one already presents on the OnePlus 9RT for its primary sensor. The new OnePlus Ace comes inside a Red themed box packing in China. The top of the box mentions the smartphone’s name as OnePlus Ace. Furthermore, the OnePlus branding can be seen on the right and the left side of the box. We get some documentation, some OnePlus Stickers, and a warranty card about the in-box contents. Beneath this documentation stuff, we get our mobile unit, a good quality transparent TPU case. Interestingly, OnePlus China also provides a 150W power adapter within the box, and it comes with Type-C power output.

Furthermore, this OnePlus Adapter also supports VPS, QD, and QC fast charging. We can even charge our laptop tablets with a Type-C port using this OnePlus charger. OnePlus Ace smartphone comes in two color options in China: Black and Blue. We can see the electro-optical waterfall design on the smartphone’s rear side. OnePlus Ace with AMOLED display

The OnePlus Ace has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole in the middle. This display gets Full-HD+ resolution along with 1 billion colors. OnePlus China claims that this display can reach a peak brightness of 950 nits. However, it will be possible in specific scenarios only. As per our experience with the smartphone, the device can reach around 600-700 nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, the display also gets a 120Hz fast refresh rate, and this refresh rate is lowered to 60Hz and 90Hz based on users’ requirements. It also offers a 720Hz touch sampling rate, which means an enhanced gaming experience on this display.

Decent Camera Hardware on OnePlus Smartphone

With a triple rear camera setup, the OnePlus Ace comprises of 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor. The same sensor is present on multiple smartphones in this price segment.

 In China, this OnePlus device also gets Optical image stabilization (OIS) support. Furthermore, the secondary camera is an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor covering a 119-degree field-of-view (FoV). At the same time, the third lens is a 2MP macro sensor.

How's the camera performance?

Based on our experiments with the OnePlus Ace camera, the daytime photos are pretty good. The daylight offers quite natural life colors. The dynamic range is also excellent. It suggests that you can click RAW images with the OnePlus Ace smartphone. At the same time, the night and low-light images are average. We did find some noise in night photography in some situations. However, the device performs excellently during night videography in other night situations. Overall, the images clicked with OnePlus Ace are decent. Selfies are also decent and offer near-to-natural life colors.

Gaming on OnePlus Ace China

Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset powers the OnePlus Ace smartphone. This chipset is designed on the TSMC 5nm fabrication process. The main difference between this chipset from the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip is the improved game frame rate, AI calculations, and Night videography. This processor offers a max clock speed of 2.85GHz.

OnePlus Ace also gets Hyper Boost Engine Game Frame Stabilization Engine, and it will offer more stable performance during high-end gaming. The device also gets Super Crystalline Heat Dissipation Cycle to maintain the temperature while performing high-end tasks and gaming. In terms of the AnTuTu score, the OnePlus Ace receives the top score of above 8 million. We quickly placed the high-end games on the OnePlus handset without noticing any frame drop. Dual-Cell battery on OnePlus Ace China

A 4500mAh dual-cell battery powers the OnePlus Ace. This battery can easily last you for one full working day on average usage, and this battery will work for around 6-10 hours on heavy use. However, OnePlus offers a massive 150W, high-speed charger within the box to charge the smartphone.

This 150W OnePlus Charger can charge 40 percent battery on the OnePlus Ace in 5 minutes. In 18 minutes, the OnePlus charger can charge 90 percent of the battery.
