Vivo confirms entry into the tablet market, first product launching soon

Vivo has officially confirmed for its first step in the tablet market by the end of 2021. The Chinese brand is following the footsteps of Realme.

Last week, Realme teased about its entry in the tablet space. The Chinese tech brand will be launching its first ever Realme Pad in the coming months. Following the footsteps, another BBK brand has announced its entry in the tablet market. This time Vivo has officially confirmed about its plans to launch a tablet device, after tasting success in mobile phone business. The device will be launching by the end of 2021. The official confirmation report has been shared with Tencent by the internals in Vivo.

Previous reports also share some information that Vivo and iQOO has been planning to launch their tablet devices last year. Additionally, both the companies have also registered their names like Vivo Pad and iQOO Pad. Some different names for tablets were also present. It appears as if the Realme will be the first BBK Brand to launch the first tablet in the market. Both the other brands including Vivo and iQOO will follow the footsteps of Realme.

Vivo Tablet to launch later:

Meanwhile, the specifications and features of the upcoming Vivo tablet is unknown. Although Vivo’s patent has revealed the schematics of the tablet device. As per schematics, the upcoming Vivo Pad does not look much different from the Realme Pad. To recall, the Realme Pad has been already revealed in the official teasers.

The upcoming Vivo tablet is likely to come with similar narrow bezel display. Such narrow bezels are already present on the iPad Air 4. Additionally, the button layout also appears to be similar to the iPad Air 4. The volume rockers are placed on the side. Whereas, the power button is positioned on the top. The Vivo tablets are likely to feature a quad-speaker setup. All these expectations, makes the Vivo tablets to fall under premium price segment. The rear end of the tablets resembles to an enlarged Vivo smartphone from recent times.

The device will feature a rectangular hump holding the dual rear cameras along with a flash. According to rumors, Vivo might be using a mid-range chipset with some clever software tricks on this tablet. The Vivo tablet is likely to take on the likes of Realme, Samsung and many others. Since the launch is far, therefore, we don’t know much about the price for upcoming Vivo tablet.

Tablets from other brands:

Beside Vivo tablet, Rumors also suggests that Oppo is also planning for their tablet devices. The Oppo tablets could launch next year after the Realmes’ and the Vivos’. It won’t be surprising if OnePlus could also announce its intentions to bring a tablet device. It would be exciting for consumers to see a tablet device running on company’s OxygenOS experience.

As per previous post, Realme has also confirmed about its tablet launch. The company is likely to rely on Android based ecosystem, with Oppo’s ColorOS skin on top. Additionally, Realme will be launching this tablet with a midrange chipset and some cleaver combination. The device will fall in mid-range category.
