Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular mid-segment SUVs in the country. In India, Hyundai has been ruling in this segment for many years. Hyundai Creta was launched in India back in 2020. Since last year, this Hyundai Creta India has been competing with the cars like Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, and others in this segment. The Creta Knight Edition, released earlier this month, has already begun to arrive at showrooms around the country. With the launch of Knight Edition, Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) has added a variety of cosmetic changes to the special Knight Edition.
The new Hyundai Creta Knight Edition 2022 is available in S+ and SX(O) trim levels, with petrol and diesel engines. Additionally, the price for the Creta Knight Edition starts at Rs 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The Japanese Automobile makers have also made several visual alterations to the SUV to distinguish it from the regular Creta model.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition: First Look
Overall, the latest Creta Knight Edition comes with the same design as the regular Creta SUV. The visible alterations are red inlays on the front grille and front calliper, side sill garnish, roof rails, ORVMs, Etc. The Hyundai emblem is also coated in Dark Chrome this time, and the SUV also gets Dark Metal coloured alloy wheels. During a visit to a Hyundai showroom in India, we get our first glance at the Creta Knight Edition S+ model.
New Alloy Wheels on Creta Knight Edition
The Creta Knight Edition S+ variant comes with 16-inch allow wheels. At the same time, the SX(O) variant comes with slightly bigger 17-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the all-new Creta is the first-choice vehicle for buyers looking for a premium vehicle with rich features, and the newly launched Knight Edition comes with most of such premium features.
New additions to Creta
The latest Hyundai Creta also offers premium features like tri-beam LED projector headlamps, split LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, and automatic climate control. It also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the Panoramic sunroof and multi-function steering are other premium features on the latest Creta.
Hyundai India has used a piano-black finish on both the front and rear skid plates this time to increase the glam factor. However, getting them scratched will also be too easy. Coming inside, the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition 2022 also gets an all-black theme replacing the black-beige look, which is present on 1.5 petrol and 1.5 diesel variants. With all-black interiors, the SUV receives red inserts on the AC vents, and red stitching on the seats and steering wheel also adds to the car’s sporty look.
1.5-liter Petrol Engine on Creta Knight Edition
Meanwhile, the engine options remain the same as the previous options. For the first time, the Hyundai Creta is available with the iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) with the 1.5-litre Petrol engine. Thus, adding another transmission option to the list alongside the manual, DCT, CVT, and torque converter. These variants are also available with the 1.5 petrol, 1.4 turbo petrol, and 1.5 diesel engine options.
