Micromax In 2c: First Look
Indian smartphone vendor Micromax unveiled its latest offering in the form of Micromax In 2c. This Micromax In 2c is a super-budget-friendly smartphone, and interestingly, this is a Made in India smartphone. Talking about history, Micromax first launched the Micromax In 1b, followed by the Micromax In 2b. Now, technically company should have thrown the Micromax In 3b. But I don’t know why the Indian smartphone brand brings the Micromax In 2c. Now, let’s take a first look at the latest Micromax In series smartphone.
Unboxing
Micromax In 2c comes inside a Blue themed box packaging. This box color is similar to what we saw on the Micromax In 2b smartphone. However, the branding, printing, and text everything is precisely the same on both boxes.
Key highlighting features are already mentioned on the back of the box packing. After opening the box packaging, we get the Micromax handset, a quick start guide, a tempered glass, and a standard quality TPU case.
Furthermore, the box content includes a USB Type-A to Type-C cable and a standard 10W Micromax In branded charger. Keep in mind that all the contents are Made in India.
Standard Design on Micromax In 2c
Micromax In 2c comes with nearly the same design as the last year’s Micromax In 2b smartphone. One of the significant differences is the missing rear side fingerprint sensor on the Micromax In 2c. Moreover, the layout and placement of buttons are the same as its predecessor. Looking at the back design, we get the camera module on the top-left corner of the smartphone.
This camera module features a dual-camera setup with an LED flash. The power button and volume rockers are located on the device’s right edge. The top edge is clean, and hence, there is no noise cancellation microphone. The left edge gets the SIM tray slot, a dedicated SIM tray for dual SIM, and a microSD card. Meanwhile, we can put two 4G SIM cards and one microSD card slot here. At the bottom edge, we get the headphone jack and a USB Type-A port. The speaker grille is placed on the rear panel in the bottom-right corner.
HD+ Display on Micromax In mobile
Setting up a Micromax smartphone is relatively easy because there is neat stuff, and not many permissions or privacy settings are required. Talking about the display, Micromax In 2c comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 263ppi. Keeping the Micromax handset on full brightness, we checked the peak brightness, which reached around 420 nits.
Based on our experience, in Indoor conditions, we can see the display easily. The display is easily visible at even half of its full brightness, and the brightness is OK in indoor conditions. The smartphone provides excellent viewing from all sides when it comes to viewing angles. The display gets the dewdrop notch which accommodates the 5MP standard selfie camera.
Stock Android on Micromax In 2c
Android Software is the key highlight of this Micromax In series smartphone. If you need an Android phone with basic functionalities like Calling, messaging, and some video playback, then Micromax In 2c is a go-to phone. The UI on the Micromax smartphone is clean; no bloatware is present on the handset. Meanwhile, the smartphone runs on the Google Android 11 OS with November Security Patch. This issue is nothing to complain about, given the pricing.
Budget processor without any lag
The Micromax In 2c smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The phone’s storage is relatively less. However, we can put an additional microSD card to expand the storage. Additionally, the device runs on an octa-core Unisoc T610 processor, and this CPU is one of the most popular chipsets among budget phones.
With primary usage, we did not find any lag or issue. We saw that the applications were opening instantly. With initial impressions, we didn’t think it was slow. Multitasking was also fluid. One of the reasons behind this could be the presence of stock Android OS. This fluidity is getting due to clean ROM and CPU. However, the low RAM and ROM could be a problem in the long run.
Dual Rear Camera setup
Let’s check out the camera quality. We took some random pictures from the 8MP rear camera and the depth camera to talk about the camera quality. Firstly, the color accuracy is not that accurate, and the color changes from reality in 80 to 85% of the images. We find some fading issues in some conditions, and there is no oversaturation at all.
The images we clicked are also not close to true to real life. There is a slight change in every picture we click with this smartphone. If the lighting condition is good, the details and sharpness levels are also fine. If the photo is too bright, the colors will automatically change on the Micromax In 2c smartphone. Furthermore, the HDR Algorithm used in the camera is not accurate.
In some conditions, the background details are also missing entirely out. If you take photos in artificial lighting conditions, the noise level can be easily seen in every single picture. The details and sharpness are missing in the artificial and low-lighting conditions. Meanwhile, with a 5MP selfie camera, we can click below average selfies. Considering the price, I think it is working fine; we can’t complain much about it.
5000mAh battery with standard charging
Speakers on the Micromax In 2c mobile phone are loud enough, but the speaker’s placement is a bit too odd. The 5000mAh battery is another major highlight of this Indian smartphone. As far as my experience is concerned, the battery in Micromax In 2c is good. With stock Android, there is not much battery consumption. Also Read about Micromax 5G handset
Micromax In 2c: Final Verdict
The software experience is excellent on this smartphone. However, the software updates in Micromax phones are not that good. Overall, it is a decent phone for first-timers. You can gift this phone to your elder loved ones. Mother’s Day is coming; give this Micromax mobile phone to your mother if she is switching from a feature phone for the first time.
