Dotted-Line texture Design on the Narzo 50 Pro
The Chinese tech player always tries to play with the new look on their smartphones. Following the trend, this time also, the company is offering a matte finish design with a dotted line texture. This dotted-line texture finish towards the rear camera module. At first look, the Narzo 50 Pro 5G may not attract many users, especially when we look at the big bulging camera module, which houses the triple rear camera setup.
The sleek body and the curvy edges make the smartphone feel light and easy to carry. Overall, with minimalistic design with a matte finish protect the rear side from smudges and fingerprints. The in-display fingerprint scanner and the punch-hole selfie camera with minor bezels make it stand on top against its competitors.
Super AMOLED display on Realme Narzo phone
The 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display offers an excellent viewing experience on the Realme Narzo 50 Pro. The new Realme smartphone will have excellent colors for watching HD films. Under bright sunlight, the content visibility is decent. In a harsh sunlight situation, the handset can be used for primary purposes, including texting, reading, etc. All this is possible thanks to its 1000 nits of peak brightness. As per our experience, the display looks dull outdoors, but it does not affect the outdoor visibility that much. The 90Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate provide lag-free scrolling on social media or the web. Furthermore, the in-display fingerprint sensor is quick and well responsive too. Realme Narzo 50 Pro with Dimensity 920 SoC
The mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G processor powers the Narzo 50 Pro smartphone. The same processor is already seen with the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge. With the Xiaomi smartphone, we experienced some lack of gaming optimization. However, the Realme Narzo 50 Pro with day-to-day tasks, multitasking, and heavy graphics-intensive tasks works like a charm. We did not notice any heating issues or lag while performing heavy-duty tasks.
The Gaming performance on the Realme Narzo 50 Pro was decent. We played graphic-intensive games like BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Asphalt 9 on default graphic settings. With these games, we did not notice any heating issues or any frame drops. Also Read – Gmail for G Suite brings chat and video calling feature similar to Microsoft and Slack
Realme Narzo phone with Android 12
On the software front, the Realme Narzo 50 Pro 5G phone runs on the latest Realme UI 3.0 on top of the Android 12 experience. The newest UI offers a handful of customization options, themes, animation controls, etc. All these features make the Realme UI 3.0 way livelier.
Besides this, the Realme Narzo smartphone again comes with pre-installed bloatware. These unwanted apps make the smartphone experience sour, and Spammy pop-up notifications from the pre-installed apps lower the overall usability experience. Luckily, we can uninstall these unwanted apps, just like any other Realme smartphone. Although, some stubborn apps are difficult to uninstall. The dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support bring a good sound experience, and the audio we heard was loud and clear. Listening to music and watching YouTube videos offer a decent experience. Furthermore, the smartphone works perfectly with the 4G SIM, as the 5G connectivity is unavailable in India for the time being.
Realme Narzo 50 Pro: Camera Review
Alongside the powerful performance, the dual rear camera setup on the Realme Narzo 50 Pro offers decent camera performance. The 48MP primary camera deals with bright natural lighting quite quickly, and this primary camera can capture details and natural colors. Portrait Mode
The portrait mode comes with a customized Bokeh effect. The camera app also gets skin retouching options. There are multiple filters to play with within the camera app. The Realme Narzo handset can click brighter portrait but somehow over-sharpens the images. At the same time, the macro lens brings some noise to the photos.
Ultra-Wide shots
Surprisingly the 8MP ultra-wide sensor offers good bright and sharp images with a bit of boost in saturation. In our experience, the ultra-wide images also look lively, and the camera performance degrades as we move under indoor lighting conditions. Low Light Photography
The Realme Narzo 50 Pro camera struggles to bring color accuracy in indoor lighting. In this condition, we start losing details, and the sharpness of the photos looks a bit unrealistic. The 16MP selfie camera is capable enough to take bright, detailed, and natural skin tone selfies.
Videos on Narzo 50 Pro
The front camera also gets several beautification filters and skin texture edit options. For video recording, the Narzo 50 Pro can record videos in 720p, 1080p, and 4K options, and the video recording works perfectly under natural lighting conditions. 5000mAh battery on Realme Narzo 50 Pro
The Narzo 50 Pro 5G’s overall battery life will not disappoint most users. The 5000mAh battery can go on for more than a day quickly, and this battery comes with 33W Dart Charge fast charging support. With daily use on weekdays, the smartphone can last for more than a day on a single charge.
Our daily usage pattern comprises messaging, calling, surfing the internet, 2-3 hours of social media, and listening to the music in the background. However, the battery life will end more quickly if we play online games for more than 1 hour. With intensive gaming, we need to refill the battery by the end of the day.
Furthermore, Realme offers a couple of power-saving modes to boost battery backup. With 33W fast charging, we can refill the Realme Narzo 50 Pro battery from 10 to 100 percent in just 80 minutes. Also Read – Realme GT 2 Pro mobile India release date confirmed
Realme Narzo 50 Pro: Final Verdict
Overall, the Narzo 50 Pro is more of a gaming-centric phone. With powerful performance, customizable UI, good battery backup, super AMOLED display, and stunning cameras. The Narzo 50 Pro is a more powerful smartphone under Rs 25000 price bracket. Also Read – Samsung Galaxy A32 4G launched with 90Hz refresh rate
Based on our experience, we still believe that the cameras could have been better, and the display experience could also have been more prosperous. The Realme Narzo 50 Pro is a smartphone for gamers, and it can offer robust performance at an affordable price. Although looking at the competition, we can find some better options.
The Narzo 50 Pro will compete against iQOO Z6 Pro 5G, Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge, and Oppo F21 Pro. Meanwhile, this Realme Narzo 50 series smartphone is a good option if you have a restricted budget. However, the iQOO Z6 Pro is more sensible than Narzo 50 Pro 5G.
