Motorola Edge Lite launched with a premium specs in mid-range segment

Motorola Edge Lite comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. The smartphone features some of the premium segment features and components.

The Chinese brand, Motorola is expanding its Edge series by launching a number of mobile phones this year. Motorola has launched the all-new Motorola Edge Lite smartphone. The device could also be called the Motorola Lite Luxury Version. The device launches as the new offering from Motorola under the Edge series. The Motorola smartphone comes with some premium segment features and components. Some of the key highlights include the OLED display, triple rear camera setup and much more.



Motorola Edge Lite Price in India:

The Motorola Edge Lite comes with a price tag of CNY 2599 which is approximately Rs 29800 for the base variant. The base variant comes with 8GB RAM 128GB of onboard storage. The other variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage is price at CNY 2899 which is approximately Rs 33300. The device costs more than the Motorola Edge S.

To recall, the Edge S was launched earlier this year with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Additionally, the device will be up for sale starting August 17. However, the company has started pre-booking for the Lite variant under the Edge series. Meanwhile, Motorola has not revealed any plans about its launch in global markets including India.

Motorola Edge Lite Specifications:

The Motorola Edge Lite aka Motorola Edge Lite Luxury version comes with dual-Nano SIM support. The Chinese variant runs on MYUI 2.0 which is based on Android 11 out of the box. The Motorola Lite variant sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display. The display comes with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Additionally, the device gets a screen refresh rate of 144Hz. It gets a touch sampling rate of 576Hz. The similar touch sample rate is already seen on the Motorola Edge S Pro. The display on Motorola Edge Lite gets an aspect ratio of 20:9. Additionally, it also gets support for HDR10+. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G powers the device. The chipset comes coupled with Adreno 642L GPU. The device gets 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage option.

Camera:

Regarding camera configuration, the smartphone features a 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup. The 108-megapixel primary camera comes with f/1.9 lens along with 8-megapixel secondary telephoto lens and 16-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The secondary telephoto lens also gets support for OIS. For selfies and video chats, the Edge Lite features a 32-Megapixel selfie camera with f/2.25 aperture.



Connectivity:

As for the connectivity options, the Motorola mobile phone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Similarly, Motorola has added all necessary sensors on the Lite version under the Edge series. These sensors on board includes an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

Other Features:

For security, the users will also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Motorola has added a 4020mAh capacity battery on the latest Edge series phone. The battery comes with a support for 33W fast charge solution. The smartphone measures 163.31×76.05×6.99mm and weighs 163 grams. Additionally, the device also gets classic Moto Actions and Gestures.

It remains to be seen whether Motorola launches this Edge Lite phone in India and other global markets. Based on the spec sheet, the device could also give tough competition to its competitors.
